I love the Dutch Star 4081 floor plan. Great review. I am trying to save enough to order the 2023. I am Looking forward to meeting Matt and Andrea at the Hershey show in Sept.
One of my Aunt's had a Dutch-Star built, quite a bit smaller than this. I love how everything is quality but not over the top fancy! Beautiful motor coach!!

Very nice motorhome. I don't mean to be critical, however, a pet peeve of mine is people doing reviews and they don't know things about what they are reviewing. Know before you review. Matt you are not the only one that does that, there are others.
So, I really like the colour of the coach. The fridge/freezer on a slide is kinda cool. You guys "were" doing great when you brought your ladder with you. Why'd ya stop doing that? Very nice wet bay, and heating system, I love the idea of getting up in the middle of the night, or early morning and have a warm floor. Those front seats are awesome, maybe even too comfortable, lol. Valances are cool. Double recliners, also cool. Televator is nice, I want to look into getting one for home..lol. MSRP $ 620,014.99 is not bad, but the Sale price of $ 529,995.99 is even better. Although... Honestly I could not afford this unit, ever. It's twice the price of my home. Bathrooms are great, including that door. In almost every unit, every class, I find there isn't enough room on either side of the bed. However, since I am a single guy, I would swap out to a double bed just to make a little more room. Otherwise, a nice unit and a great review.
Newmar wasn’t really on my “new RV radar” until I saw one up close. The quality is fantastic even on their gassers. Newmar is now at the top of our list! Plus I live two hours from the factory! Great video guys!
Matt and Andrea, another informative review! Newmar makes nice products and the Dutch Star is in the sweet spot for price vs. feature/quality. I looked at them very closely when we bought our last coach. The things that swayed me to take a different direction: Prefer non-tag axle for 40ft coach for the extra storage and less cost when tires need to be replaced. Expect 3 A/C units and 10K Generator at this price point. Interior and exterior storage is much less that of some competitors. Rear bath is smaller and prefer no step-up.
I have always liked this coach. A friend owns one, full timed for over two years. A very nice quality coach. Way out of our price range but always nice to see. Thank you for another great video.
What a great MH!!! Some of the small things I dont like is that drawer in the bedroom what was that!! The pull out couch.. Ugh.. Doesn't seem user friendly... But!!! This is the exact layout I love love love.. This would be my full time RV!! This brand never really disapoints!!!
Beautiful, love the comfort, dining table, living room area awesome. I like the kitchen, not the sink. Would like an oven, although I've never baked in a microwave. The dish washer isn't a must for me. A bigger sink is a must. I cook, not conducive for a baker. Great frig and storage. A couple of things changed and it would be perfect.
My only dislike is the location of the fridge and pantry in relation to the rest of the kitchen. My like is that I looked on the Newmar website and found that they have almost the exact same floor plan, but with the dinette and the rest of the kitchen swapped, so that the entire kitchen is on the driver side. How is the clearance on the passenger seat and the slide out? I would be worried that if the seat was too far back, the slide out might gouge the back of it.
Matt can you do a cleaning video? Maybe from the shop with Matt? Show the best way to clean and maintain outside and maybe a service and repair part? Could be several episodes. I just haven't any good videos that have a little comedy but believe they know what they are talking about.
Hi Matt and Andrea! I like the bath room the storage the paint on the exterior. I also love passenger seat. My dislikes are the kitchen sink The door the half bath. That’s all I dislike. Everything else I love. Thank you Matt and Andrea!
I love the dark blue exterior and while I find the interior beautiful I won't get a Newmar until the have the option of a bunk over the cab, I often travel with my best friend for a month at a time, and I'm not going to be getting out the tri-fold every night, what a pain
Matt I know you hate the bathroom door but if newmar didn't build the bathroom door like that you would be able to get your ass into the bathroom when the slides are in lolol great video and awesome motorhome
Very nice; but I'm like Andrea. That kitchen seams odd. The wide deep counters is kinda weird. And yes Matt has a point. The sink needs to be different. Do like a farmhouse porcelain sink in. Other wise. It is a very nice home. Way to go Newmar. You do the best...=-)
Matt and Andrea....you are soooo cute. LOL..Matt when you slide into the Star Seat position..lol,,yes..they are lovely and I love this is not just pure white...current gray/tan colors that just are lovely..not just one thing..and it should be more complex but serene at this level..just great.
All the space and solid wood and tile and everything is cool. But this thing is 20 tons dry, 25 tons full. And you're probably towing a big car behind it so you're pushing 60 feet long. Other than that and the price I don't know what I'd criticize. The recliners are cool, real chairs.
Matt, definitely thought that horrible sofa sleeper would have been your 1st dislike! If it took you 5 minutes to open and close the bed, how long might it take an elderly retired coupled😬
Surprised that this model is the best selling. Very, very, nice, but, I'd have to live in this full time to justify price. Suggestion: explain what DEF is. Likes: exterior paint, love the slide out storage and fridge, beautiful interior, bath and half, dishwasher, Dislikes: door position in front of passenger seat, no oven, stackable washer and dryer (rather have storage).
3 Likes: storage galore, paint scheme, stackable w/d. 3 dislikes: (1)I personally dont like cabinets over kitchen area; blocks the window; put microwave below (beside the dishwasher), (2) I prefer a dining U-shape vs pullout table and chairs. (3) shower was too small for 6'5". Pricing should be between $425K-$475K.
Congratulations Matt for saying that fuel access is on both sides. Most would say that it’s on “either side.” Here’s the difference. I have a one dollar bill and a one hundred dollar bill. Do you want EITHER or BOTH? Too much time on my hands. I know.
Likes: K2 chassis, basement storage, and emergency egress door is not behind the toilet. Dislikes: No roof ladder, front entry instead of a mid-entry door, no door for the driver, 8k generator is too small, c-pap machine should be on the nightstand because adding water above the bed is difficult, and a dangerous step from the master bath.

The sofa doesn’t look comfy or easy to use. Love the induction cooktop. I don’t like the double sink. Give me a single basin, anytime. Love the lighted pantry.
Without doubt we enter the luxury class land yachts with this one .:. And it comes with a fairly expensive trash can even when it’s on sale - $529,995 (sales price) / 37400 (dry weight) x 3 lbs trash can weight (it looked like a medium) = $42.52 - definitely boutique kitchen supply store price point, home delivered, as part of a matched set - we are getting up there - but not $157 sorry Matt .:. the overall interior decor 👍🏽 light and neutral, well furnished, lots of top end features; chassis is a beast 👍🏽 4.5 ton ccc AND 7.5 ton hitch, 1250 ft lbs torque; bedroom is an executive suite 👍🏽 king bed, TV, lots of storage, massive residential bathroom, stackable washer dryer .:. Legit I want the emergency exit door on the other side 👎🏽 if we’re tipped in a ditch, the other side maybe a better exit; the cockpit detailing 👎🏽 underwhelms the price point; we’d option an overhead bunk 👎🏽 to bring the family .:. This isn’t our market - at MSRP, we can get 3 of the high end class C units that we like, (each on an E450) for the price of one DutchStar, with enough change for 2 couples travel trailers (each over 30 ‘ long) and a 250 cc motorcycle to drive around the campground .:. Great review but since it's only 500k I will take two!! Lol it's beautiful but the couch looks like a pain in the ass. Don't like the bathroom door. Everything else is really nice
Hey Guys! Thanks for the review. I will have to say I am going to be a bit of a nay sayer here...especially because of the price point. I really like everything on the outside, The paint job.... the small awnings on the windows....the storage.....the fridge/freezer.....wetbay....k2. I wish there were a ladder and bigger generator. The front captain area and seat....great! The passenger seat and area.....awesome!!! I wouldn't want to leave. But after that......not impressed at all. I like the stand alone pantry. The placement of the egress emergency exit. Otherwise.....this does not yell out over a half a million dollar motor home. That couch looked like it had seen better days......it was a mess...something someone may put in their basement. I have seen much nicer pull out couches in fifth wheels (Cedar Creek....East to West Ahara). The kitchen is just meh. That kitchen sink may be stone cast but looks cheap in this motor home. There are bigger nightstands in less expensive coaches. That bathroom....the storage was okay but I disagreed about the shower. Bigger shower. If I would spend this amount of money on a glampor.....I want a shower I can move in....way too small...not fluffy friendly at all. And no step up. I expected more from Newmar. Disappointed, honestly.
I'm surprised that rigs this size don't have out side kitchens. LOL - dumbest thing you've ever seen and you have to pay over half a million dollars to see it.
I loved the vehicle, but did not like your review of it . You did not do it Justice. You complain too much about minor things that any owner would love . But that's just my opinion .
