I am curious, if this young lady, Cathy, was the one who signed the permission slip (the signature looked a bit feminine to me) and she was communicating with this teacher in secret, without her father knowing about it, and she asked for anonymity BECAUSE her father was a pastor and she probably DID have a higher standard to live up to. As the pastor's daughter, I'm sure he instilled the concept of abstinence and a woman's purity and remaining a virgin until you are married from the time she was a baby. This young lady has just lost her mother to death. So she is grieving this very painful loss (I have also lost my Moms, so I know the pain she is feeling. And if she's a teenager, just starting to become a woman, and all the anxiety and confusion that comes with that and for some reason, Cathy didn't feel safe and comfortable speaking to her father about her possibly being pregnant and her participating in this class that taught young lady about this very delicate subject and she probably latched onto this kind lady because she - Cathy - was scared to death and confused and utterly alone and this lady was offering Cathy the support and guidance that she needed, while allowing her to keep it a secret from Dad and the congregation and thus keep her dignity and reputation intact. Cathy needed this maternal figure in this moment and I am glad this lady was there for her. I think there was a reason why the defendant was willing to overlook that final step. She saw this girl, she is scared to death because she thinks she might be pregnant and her father is a preacher and her mother has passed away and there is no one to help Cathy navigate this very scary and sensitive time in her life, so this lady stepped into that role and helped Cathy, as her mother would have done had she been alive. I think the defendant knew this girl's circumstances, and she felt compassion for this young lady and tried to help her through this situation as best she could. THANK GOD Cathy was NOT pregnant. God showed her mercy. And while it IS terrible, what these parishioners of this pastor's church are saying about his daughter, I don't see how nasty rumors being spread on Facebook is this lady's fault. She is not responsible for what your congregation chooses to air on social media. The slightest hint of scandal and drama and they are on it like fleas on a hound dog. They will rip her to shreds regardless of what the truth is. That's why so many women suffer in silence when they fall pregnant and more often than not, become single mothers, raising their children without the Dad's support...they can't bear the criticism and condemnation and cruelty that is directed at them....sometimes even within your church congregation. They can be extremely cruel when judging a young pregnant girl.

The Reverend Scoop was protecting his daughter by sending her to the grandparents. The gossip mongers should be very ashamed. Apologize to Reverend Scoop, and ask him to forgive them. Plus pray for forgiveness from God.

Thw defendant is accountable and negligent and should be held accountable.... she did thw wrong thing on all lvls and shouldn't be trusted ever again
