@@acdragonrider well being objective here the if the golden rule is to treat others how you want to be treated where does that cross the line because some wanted something like this to happen while others did not.
i mean he is by definition a terrorist, he committed acts of violence for political reasons, but i have to agree what he did was right. slavery is a terrible thing and he should've went to the lengths he did to stop it
@AC He said that "nothing SHOULD be solved through violence," not "everything CAN be solved without violence". The leaders of the regimes in europe were led by warmongering psychopaths who had no regard for human life, including for their own citizens. They were more than willing to resort to violence when it came to a disagreement in geopolitical matters. The only reason why they just didn't declare war on everyone was because they knew they would lose if that happened. Trying to solve that through diplomatic means would only result in them declaring war faster. You can't compare a political process to that of a authoritarian regime.
@@acdragonrider you do realize that since the beginning of the union people were trying to vote out slavery, if anything he helped save countless lives from slavery.
I am a Haitian descendant of the first free republic my country set the corner stone for all free blacks around the world, I admire this man and I would put my life down today to fight and preserve my inherit freedom and liberty if some try to enslave me! This man is a Hero!
While his message and goals did have good intentions, his means of acting were through violence and bloodshed. Lives didn't have to be taken away from both sides that day. It was their actions alone that led to the deaths of those civilians.
He is literally by textbook definition a terrorist just because you think something is justified does not justify terrorism some people agree with Tim Macveigh and think he was a hero who fought against and evil and tyrannical government but does that mean he isnt a terrorist? No What is Terrorism (by definition)? “the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.” THATS EXACTLY WHAT BROWN DID KILLED A BUNCH OF PEOPLE FOR POLITICAL REASONS HE IS BY ALL DEFINITIONS A TERRORIST
Greatest national hero ever. John Brown was my kind of crazy! If I were there, I'd join him! "They hanged him as a traitor, they themselves the traitor crew. But his soul goes marching on!"

maddie 74 Tony Firenze Your right about 9/11 but the TEXTBOOK DEFINITION of terrorism is “the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.” Even id someone is “racist” that doesnt make it right John Brown may have been fighting for a good cause but that does not excuse murdering civillians he decided to commit terrorism because he believed he was fighting for a good cause I mean Timmothy Macveigh thought he was fighting for a good cause he believed the federal government was corrupt and evil he was getting revenge for killing innocents at Ruby Ridge and Waco he truly believed he was right and thought his actions were neccesary Tim Macveigh was a right wing extremist what they did Brown and Macveigh were both Textbook Terrorism and just because you agree with one more than the other doesnt make a diffrence they were terrorists John Brown is by definition a terrorist and if you reply to this comment with “Yeah well John Brown believed in a good cause” maybe he did but what he did was still terrorism and there is no excuse for terrorism no matter what the motive believe it or not there are some nutjobs who think Tim Macveigh was a “hero” and just because someone was fighting for a better cause doesnt make his actions right

reply: to the Ironically the first man to die, a free black man... it's Gods way of sending a message... and impossible to understand... the reason... or should I say the Mind of God...
My heroes are Henry Clay, the great compromiser and Abraham Lincoln, who endeavored to end slavery through legal and legislative means. And who encouraged reconciliation after the war.
Reconciliation should have never happened. We should have just left the South to rot for its treasons deeds. We should have made more brutal punishments for the Southerners. Because we decide to reconcile with the South (which basically just a slap on the wrist) , the South didn't learn anything from the Civil War. 90% of Modern America's race problems come from Southern Culture, which is just as bigoted and hatefully as it was 150 years ago.
