After Angelica got out of the hospital, she performed in charity events to raise funds to help other children who are in need of medical care. She also stated in an interview that if she wins AGT, she'll donate part of her winnings to children's hospitals and of course get herself a puppy. :)

Hi A&L, you two were fantastic! I am a father of eight and I love watching parents react to Angelica because they all have the same reaction! As for Angelica, she went into the hospital when she was 4 1/2 yo (Jan or Feb 2012) and actually spent 12 days on ECMO (basically a medically induced coma) to give her tiny body a chance to rest. After spending a total of 80 days in the Hospital and one year on dialysis machines, she finally received the kidney when she was 6 yo. She started Singing lessons at 5 (I believe). She actually sings her life story (past/present/future) and you can tell by the songs: Rise Up - Notice the 2nd verse she says "... and we'll rise up" not "I" - she is literally telling us! This is the past! Girl on Fire - She is telling everyone that she is ready to go public and she is on fire! This is the present! Clarity - Here she shows you different things that she can do with voice (runs, key changes, riffs, etc...). This is the present! Without you - Here she is telling everyone that she cannot be a singer without all of us. This is the Present! Symphony - This is crystal clear she is telling the world that she wants to be part of the world's Symphony of Artists. Twice she says to the world (middle/end), "... will you hold me tight and not let go?" This is definitely the future! On 9/13/2013 Angelica received her mom's kidney. It gives new meaning to her singing "Without You". The pictures of her on life support were even harder to see. It is amazing to know that double pneumonia caused her lungs to bleed and resulted in sepsis and multiple organ failure. These same lungs which work at less than 80% capacity help Angelica make such amazing music. It is a testament to God's grace and his guiding hand in this Angel's life. Every time I hear Angelica sing I thank God for modern medicine. For 4 years Angelica has used her God given talent to help raise money for the Children's Miracle Network so other sick and injured children can receive life saving medical treatment. How can we not support Angelica? Her heart is as big and beautiful as her voice.

When i first saw this, I had the same reaction as both of you. And felt the same way after seeing it for the 10th time as I did the first! I've fallen in love with her and I too think she is a messenger from God and sings to the world from the gift he has given her. I believe when she was in a coma thats when God gave her the "extra" talent she has today therefor the name Angelica! It makes perfect sense, you think?
Hearing her backstory of her medical issues had me crying, man. :( Poor little lady going through all THAT medical crap, only to be known as a popular - and awesome singer from AGT - THAT'S WHAT'S UP !!!! :) Her cover of the Alicia Keys song is A-FREAKING-MAZING !!!!
I have spent a fortune in tissues this year, Angelica of course had me in tears, but so did Kechi and Mandy and then along came Evie Clare and Angelina Green. On top of that I was shocked by the unbelievable talent of Darci, Celine and Merrick. Then just to finally destroy me we get the terrible news of Evie's Dad. I simply wept for that young girl. Whether she carries on in the final is her decision but whatever let us all either pray for her or if not religious hold her in our hearts for what she must be going through. We all suffer loss of a loved one but we do not all have to stand that agony with the world watching us at the age of 13 years..
she is so amazing and one of a kind, she will be at a level higher than her idol Whitney Houston was, she is setting the bar so high,,, I told you Latina you will be balling on this one!!!
Alvin you said it best, 'inspiration and gift to the world'! Not just the singing, but what she has been doing since the transplant. Dedicating her life to give HOPE to sick children, wow. I can't repeat that enough. Cole Swindell said you could see Angelica loves doing it, being a big sister to sick kids, holding their hands. She sang 'Heal the World' with a group of kids, AND that's what she's doing. Win or lose her journey to make the world a better place will continue.....who LIKES to join her?

Each song she gets better and there just seems like she's a few notches above some of the competition. Angelica is a walking miracle. She had double pneumonia when she was 4 years old. She developed sepsis in her lungs, a dangerous infection. Her lungs were bleeding and her kidneys failed. She went into a coma and she was on life support. Her mother gave her a kidney. Angelica and her mother only have one kidney. Angelica has an Amazing God-Given Gift. She also lost lung capacity and (medically) shouldn't be able to sing with such power. Angelica turned Without You into a Power Ballad with all her health challenges. She still has to take a lot of meds to keep her body from rejecting the kidney. I am amazed!!!!!!! She travels all over the country raising money for Children's hospitals. She is giving part of her winnings to the hospital charity she raises money for....... because of the great care they gave her. God was with Angelica'a mom during the pregnancy with her little sister because of the stain pregnancy can put on a woman' kidneys and she only has 1. Angelica is so humble, so sweet, and so awesome. Simply Amazing. I believe Darcy or Mandy could win this and it will be well deserved. But, my heart is for Angelica. I would love to see her win. So deserved. She has the kind of gift that comes along rarely within a lifetime.

You mentioned Angelica should be taught to yodel. I taught myself to yodel at a very young age. Vocal coaches tried to figure out exactly how it was done by watching me. I agree it has to be a certain type of voice, and Angelica Hale certainly has it and more.

I am not a religious person, but she made me believe that she was saved to make us all believe that we WILL rise up, even as humanity, cause she did it and when she says we will, she makes me believe it. I feel like she is my daughter, or better "our child" and she is here with a huge purpose as huge as her voice is.
