This has got to be one of the best Shin Lim reviews I have ever watched. No one, like no one to date had made so much commentary on his smile, his teeth, his winking, his blinking. I am wrecked. This was so fun to watch. Thank you! (And when you said that one trick was too hard to do, I was like, duuude, you juggle and solve Rubik cubes in the air, duuuude).

You lost 1st ace in AGT but won the fame and inspired a lot of magicians to pick up a cube. Im one of them

What makes Shin Lim different from other magicians is his showmanship. Some magicians know how the trick is done but Shin makes it magical. It is like playing music, you have to make the audience "feel" the music and not just appear to be some soundwaves travelling in 3d dimensional space. His routine is in sync with the music, it is like dancing. You can't just learn moves, you have to be one with the music. What magicians sometimes forget is that you don't merely fool the audience, you have to make them believe and make them mesmerized. I think this is where "art" really comes to life.

a lot of magicians praise each other and say that the other person trains hard and their magic is hard to do.... i personally think all magic tricks are DAMN Hard... if you dont have the dedication and dont have motivation to spend hours and hours to perfect one magic trick, it will come out sloppy.. gonna give a thumbs up to all the magicians out there, especially those that have performed in big stages like ABT, BGT etc...they all worked very hard and trained for long hours to entertain us! Kudos

I've watched a lot of card tricks but i particularly like his style... so calm, so humble and charming... the music was always great and it matched every move of his act! All made his performance so sensational and classy. I know nothing about card tricks but i think anyone who knows... must know how difficult to do those acts! INSANE!!!

Thought you were great too! Hated that they cut up his 52 shades act in the Judges cut and they changed his music, he was upset about it too, but hey that is AGT and their time frame! No way he wasn't going to win..sick of singers winning..he was way too good, and left too many people just speechless when he walked off that stage!

I would love to see some of the magic you would have loved to have done instead of all rubix cube....You are clearly a talented magician, but when I saw your season, I really felt the reach of the producers. I feel like magicians in general struggle with agt because they are often forced to do their best trick first.... For instance, I would say Matt Franco's audition was way better than the rendition of ambitious card that he did.

if you see carefully at 22:30 you can see Shin Lim gets the cards from the piano. look at the shadows on hes hands/finger tip. ^^ He does this sooo smoothly its insane

I am a complete amateur in magic. I was blown away by YOUR act, Steven. Then to hear you speak so highly of Shin Lim .. well. Shin LIm absolutely blew me away. Thanks to you BOTH! I'm acquiring some magic books now -- you two have so inspired me. I can NOW follow some of AGT's earlier magicians; but not you or Shin! I'll go out on a limb here: You are about-as-good with a Rubic's Cube as Shin is with Cards. P.S.: I watched one of Shin Lim's YT 'Turorials' on doing card tricks with some other guy; he's not so humble there. Perhaps deservedly so. But I was not able to follow even that. P.P.S. Shin Lim's last trick with the four jacks -- I know that is a classic.
