Loved the reindeer farm! My friends and I actually visited there ourselves a few weeks ago.

I have been there before in February of 2021 and with the snow still around it looked beautiful

My wife and I came here as part of our honeymoon. Fantastic little town in the mountains! Highly suggested if you like German food and beer. Especially during Christmas which reminds me of my hometown in Lake Placid, NY.

I almost ended up in Leavenworth in 2022... I first heard about that village when I went through Wenatchee, WA but I needed to go north back then, to Winthrop, another styled town, in the style of an old western town. I did not expect Leavenworth like this. My car broke down at the Wenatchee Airport and I asked the car rental agent if not many Germans would be there. And she said: "We will get a lot of Germans here due to Leavenworth..."

Frankenmuth, Michigan is similar- a great place for shopping at Christmas

Next time you head to Leavenworth, go at Christmas time. They really go all out with the decoration and tree lighting. The next time you get around old highway 30 and the waterfalls, camp at Ainsworth State park, and bring bicycles. You can easily spend an entire day just exploring the trails and waterfalls in that area.

I spent all summer here in 1975 when this tiny town was just recreating itself. My aunt Velma had the "Die Just" art gallery on front street.

Amazing scenery! I've always wanted to see the northwest as I've lived in Miami Beach for soo long, but now I'm here in the peninsula (Silicon Valley), I definitely need to see this side of the US and Canada. Thanks Mike!

Although I have family and friends in Austria and Bavaria and been there many many times, I have to say they did a terrific job trying to make it look authentic . Love your vids. The falls and the gorge are amazing scenery. Love the PNW. Haven't been to Leavenworth though. There is a town in Georgia, called Helen, that is very similar. I've been there.

Next Christmas you need to go to Leavenworth for the Christmas tree lightening. It’s a pretty fun day trip. Lots of snow and Christmas lights

Word to the wise to those planning to visit Leavenworth, DON'T buy fuel at the 76 station at the west end of town. 0:54 - Notice their high prices? I was through Leavenworth several times during July and August of 2019 and saw the same prices, but I opted to fuel up at Safeway on the east side of town, where diesel was about $3.179 per gallon, unlike the $3.999 at the 76. No idea why 76 has such high prices.

You Guys NEED To Come At Christmas Time! There Are Christmas Lights EVERYWHERE! There Is Also Sleding And (I Think) Ise Skating Too!

Leavenworth is a nice day trip from Seattle via Hwy 2. There is a great bakery on the 2nd street behind the main drag that has the best oatmeal raisin cookies ever! Some neat B& Bs, and the hiking via the Icicle Creek Trail is awesome. You captured a nice shot of beautiful Mt Hood. The Colu bia Gorge is a real treasure and Scenic Byway 30 is the way to go - not I-84. Portland is a nicextown (at least before Antifa trashed it). I have been to all 50 states and Oregon is my favorite (lived 1 year in Lake Oswego), but the politics in the Portland-Salem-Eugene corridor is pure NUTS! Southern OR - Crater Lake and Ashland, andcthe Rogue River are wonderful. Harry & David Orchards in Bear Creek is a greatvplacexto find outstanding fruit at a great price because it is slightly marred, the Riviera Pears are the best you will ever taste. There is a Shakespeare Featival forc9-10 months, too. The historic little town of Jacksonvil,e, on the Applegate River is super, as is the Music Feztival in Grant's Pass. Much warmer with little rain down south in the state. Btw, that seemed like a much harder rain than usual in the Colunbia Girge. Hope you had a good trip to SF!
