Stayed there last month. It is absolutely gorgeous. Very soothing on the eyes compared to pretty much everywhere else. The casino action was calm but vibrant. I rather enjoyed myself there. For a 3 day stay, (sans gambling) only cost me about $1,800. (I made more from the blackjack tables so I'm not complaining)
*FOR A FULL LOOK AT THE 'ORIGINAL' FONTAINBLEU IN MIAMI...... WATCH THE MOVIE **_THE BELLBOY_* *It is BEST Jerry Lewis movie, & movie shot to showcase the entire hotel there.*
We stayed at the Fontainebleau hotel casino back during the international builders show in late February 2024. Totally enjoyed the experience. It is very convenient to the convention center as it is literally a walk across the street to the new expansion of the Las Vegas convention center. While there’s plenty of new retail space that will be opening in the future, the restaurants were very good. I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and well laid out.
Last time we stopped by Fontainebleau, just a few weeks back, we were actually impressed with the number of visitors there. It takes a while for a newer resort in Vegas to build up a steady clientele. I remember the first year when Aria opened it was often a ghost town, yet slowly but surely it developed a steadily increasing fanbase. Granted, the lack of foot traffic due to Fontainebleau's North Strip location might slow its growth a bit, but then again its proximity to the Convention Center should help make up for that lack of foot traffic.
The Fontainebleau is a very beautiful hotel. The food at Don's Prime is excellent with great servers and a gorgeous dining room. It is pricey but around the same price at SW Wynn and Prime Bellagio.
I've been to Fontainebleau last week the night before my brother's graduation commencement. The building is so pretty! I love it! The casino resort has the same initials as the oldest social media app still in use these days.
I went in here to play some slots because i happened to be out there in December when it opened and it seemed like it would be successful. There’s a good burger joint on the second level near the casino floor
Been there a few times when I'm Vegas. Interior wise, it's gorgeous. Lot's of great restaurants, very tasty food. The huge issues that it has is location. It's far from the strip & other hotels & by itself next to the convention center. Their initial marketing was their let down. They didn't do any tier matching with other hotels (they do now), didn't market to the convention crowd & didn't market to the locals. I have heard they are really changing their marketing approach now & trying to lure in the convention folks.
I really don't know how this place will ever turn a profit with all the money that was invested into it considering the location is not convenient, but I am glad it's open after all these years.
I think the money trail on building this resort would be interesting. Lot investors and banks lost a ton of money on the outset of the project. You say the "original owners" returned bought "back" the complex, but are they really the original owners, or a company that took the name? The current owners only paid a fraction of the costs to build that resort - since most of it was lost by previous investors. All they really had to do was complete the interior.
Back about 2010 the Cosmopolitan got a great deal buying all the furniture from Fontainbleau. I helped open the Cosmopolitan, which would have gone down a similar path if it hadn't been bought by the lender allowing it to open about 2 years later than planned.
This will be the future of Chicago (and some other US cities i.e. SF). It's already started....vacant 40 story buildings in receivership in the Loop area.
Well, it’s not lonely anymore because people are booking it up quickly. We are going in July and it is difficult to get even a cabana right now.… Harder to get in the restaurants as well. They are going to kill it for summer.
Howcome? I love the spaciousness compared to Resorts World; you feel like a sardine in a tin can. There's nowhere to sit and eat at resorts world whereas in Fontaine you have 3 times the number of seats and tables.
It’s now The Mirage that is going to change to the Hard Rock. I just got back from there. The employees are on edge not knowing what is going to happen. The company is having a meeting on 4/12 with the employees. I wished several workers good luck.
@@Errr717. They ruined Treasure Island, it’s now called just TI. Mirage has been a great resort because it was Steve Wynns first major project and it changed Vegas into a family destination. The guitar shaped hotel plans looks ugly, in my opinion.
Welcome to Vegas! While it's true that the FB is in "Winchester," Winchester is a "town," which under Nevada law is just some lines on the map -- everything that a town does is controlled by the county anyway. (A "city" -- like Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, or Henderson -- works as you'd expect.) Watching the FB from close-up since it opened, it's apparent that ownership don't know much about running casinos. It wouldn't be the first time a real-estate company tried to run a casino, with limited success -- the Sahara spent a few years as "SLS" with about the same result.
A baked potato in their steak house costs $95!!!😮 Plus taxes and a 50 cent credit card fee, because the steak house doesn't accept cash. The baked potato does come with a small sample of caviar, but $95 is still too much for a baked potato.
that got completed and with vegas being sports destination now they will start coming. if hotel has kitchen style rooms which normally not found on strip. vegas has been building crazy since that crisis. And they continue to build. due to desert heat and water issues it will never be like a go to destination. it will be go to destination for a short time always. it is not sin city per se as you can do sin in any city for that matter.
The South end of the strip is like the twilight zone, nothing seems to do well. Resorts World has been the lone exception and the Wynn. It looks nice but the rooms are nothing special and if people are staying down that way, they will go to Resorts World or the Wynn.
Actually this is the north end of the strip heading toward downtown. Circus Circus is across the street (almost) And the world famous Rivera was nearby, gone with the wind, as most LV resorts eventually end up.
THANK YOU! This guy’s whole channel discusses stadiums and locations around the county but I swear he never leaves his house. The whole channel just consists of his musings from television and the internet.
That is not true actually. I work at the resort, and lately things have gotten much more busy than they used to be. I think word about the resort has gotten around, and on top of that, the resort is offering quite a nice room rate compared to other high-end resorts on the strip right now, so they’re actually drawing in a decent amount of business as we speak.
Vegas ,needs too bring back value .... People are tired 😫 of getting over charged. They need to make that property more fun too ,to draw people in. They need to have an outside weed smoking area, and perhaps a nude club would help it
They might be able to build a little more clientele if they weren't so proud with their prices. Lower the prices get people coming in gradually raise them up as Word of Mouth gets out there. You wouldn't catch me dead in there for 600 bucks a night don't care what the room looks like the location sucks and for 600 bucks a night I can get a lot more for my money in Las Vegas
Maybe it’s on purpose and your thing and obviously you have a ton of subscribers, but , I would *highly* recommend…breathing while speaking, working on vocal variety, and not ‘pushing’ in your voice for every sentence, making every phrase sound the exact same, and very monotone. I would never normally comment like this, and Evidently it bothers no one else on here, but I had to mute the sound. Practice the sound and the air coming from deeper down in your body, and projecting “out there” further, instead of tightening it up and only coming from the head area. Also the FB is beautiful inside but was a little too “spacious” on the floor . Rooms are beautiful.
So they go bankrupt everyone gets screwed then they come buy it back? Must be nice right. Do you think you can do that if you go bankrupt? Nope. It looks like it doesn’t have many balconies and i don’t understand this in Vegas. Balconies are hard to come buy-i love a lot of Hotel Casinos but Cosmo always has my business because i always want a balcony wherever i go. Just look at all the reviews or RU-vid videos. People love the balconies and i don’t understand how the new hotels don’t hear that and make balconies on every room. I’m not in room much but when i am I’m on balcony with my iPad playing and just chilling in the dry air and no bugs. I’m from Florida so we like outside. Well most do-others whine it’s hot in Summer than they want the cold air then whine when it’s cold in winter , lol. More balconies Vegas!
