Leave Assata alone. The judicial system has the evidence that proves she didn't shoot the cop, but because she escaped, their egos are getting the best of them, and they would love to get the chance to apprehend her, so that they can punish her for escaping, not for the murder, because they really know that she didn't do it.

@@FaithandNova as per my Bad Nola school educational system from the 90s I can recall what I was taught it was always props to the " Spanish " & French " [ back then our schools never taught about the Haitian influence or anything that involved them] ... as I read on in later years The Spanish used Havana, Cuba, as a model for rebuilding New Orleans in the 1790s after fires destroyed many buildings. Cuban influence in New Orleans goes back more than 200 years. but now i am well aware it was built by the Strong and beautiful people of Haiti 🇭🇹
@barbarajohnson7473
@barbarajohnson7473 2 года назад
The refugees from Haiti arrived in 1792-93, and they were there to get the city re-built after the second big fire in 1794. It’s after these two fires that we see the huge shifts in architecture in New Orleans. With the original French-style wooden buildings destroyed, the Spanish imposed their building codes, requiring brick buildings. The Spanish built homes centered around small gardens and courtyards. The French colonials brought the style we now know as the “Creole cottage” with them from Haiti. These cottages, found in the rear and downriver sections of the Vieux Carre’, are the forerunners of the shotgun-style we see around the city as expansion continued.

Tupac was born in Assata Shakur's book but he wasn't famous yet, so he only got 2 lines. "Afeni had her baby today! She named him Tupac Amaru Shakur, then the state came and took him away!" Mopreme's dad, Mutulu, is the one who broke Assata Shakur out of prison. The Panther's financed the breakfast program by robbing armored cars.
@wernerfoerster3666
@wernerfoerster3666 Год назад
Not exactly. 1. The breakfast program was a function of extorting local shop keepers for food. The robbing of armored cars wasn't a thing for the Panthers. That was a specialty of the BLA somewhat, but mostly of "the Family" in the late 1970s. 2. Goes to show you Chesimard's deception. Tupac wasn't named Tupac at birth. He was Lesane Crooks for at least his first year 3. Mutulu sat outside the prison and didn't do much. Odinga and two other went inside. 4. Isn't it funny that Tupac is supposed to be related to Chesimard, yet neither she nor Afeni nor Tupac ever made this claim.
@EDOGZ818
@EDOGZ818 Год назад
@@wernerfoerster3666 Pac never claimed to be related to Chesimard and in her book, Pac is born and named, regardless of the legal name given. Mutulu also did the Nyack brinks hiest. Not every Panther was BLA but every BLA was a Panther. What do you know about Ahmed? He went to Cuba to do the video on her and brought her daughter.

I hope you create a follow-up video on Assata and Nehanda. I've been away from this subject for a couple of decades. I'm ASSUMING that Assata has passed away. There floated all kinds of rumors: One was that she was captured by U.S. agents, taken back to the U.S., and secretly executed. I have no way to know if that's true, but my GUT tells me that it ain't. Another rumor, a couple decades ago, was that she was still on the set, in Cuba, under guard, and doing just fine. Another rumor is that she passed away, silently and triumphantly. What I sense is that many of the Cuban people had probably vowed to protect her to the end, perhaps even throwing up smokescreens to throw even ordinary people off track. She did allow some lengthy interviews, as I recall, to be filmed. I think those are easy to find.

There's no such thing as a "Black" American. The American is melanated, despite the definition of American being changed by Noah Webster in his 2nd Dictionary, 1828. If you lol deeply enough, you'll find that Egypt and western Europe were American colonies before anyone knew what an Africa was. The current Sun worshippers have suppressed once common knowledge, so this is just a reminder to de-colonize your mind & vocabulary. So-called black women are THE goddesses of ALL religions, which is why a so-called white Pope still prays before the black mama Mary holding baby Jesus!😂😂😂 THEIR power resides exclusively in our ignorance of true history and etymology.

Once I was in Havana as part of an organic farming tour and was invited to a party. When it was over I was put into a taxi with a black woman who was later identified as Assata Shakur. I didn't recognize her and she didn't identify herself although we spoke briefly. I consider it one of the most significant moments of my life. She seemed to be able to travel freely without any security in complete safety.

This is really amazing. Great job. You did the damn thing going to Cuba and finding Assata and Nehanda's circle of "friends and family" that they made. I don't believe that either Assata or Nehanda would ever tell the whole story about their struggles in the US in order to protect themselves, their compatriots and anyone who ever helped and supported them. Pretty sure even her lover doesn't know everything. That would be unsafe for her, him and his family.
