"America" is a song performed by American music duo Simon & Garfunkel, which they included on their fourth studio album, Bookends, in 1968. The song was written and composed by Paul Simon and concerns young lovers hitchhiking their way across the United States, in search of "America".
In this Foxes and Fossils remake, recorded live at Bella's over 50 years later, Tim sings lead vocals and guitar and features Maggie and Sammie on backup vocals, Darwin on guitar, and Scott on bass.

Darwin is the fossil who knew Scott the longest, mid 1980s. Said he was amazed at Scotts talent the first time he heard him play, despite being distracted by the rooster comb spiked " flock of seagulls" hair he had at the time.

3:45 You guys bring back so many wonderful memories. I'm glad that you're keeping the older music alive. You're all excellent! You are all true musicians! You're all excellent singers. The combination of Foxes and Fossils gives a great balance to the old and the new music. As a musician myself I can appreciate how hard it is to balance the harmonies, singing while you're playing, getting along with everyone else you work with. You all are true Professionals in every sense of the word. And you just sound FANTASTIC🎉 3:10 !

Released by Simon and Garfunkel in 1968!! I'd choose 60s music over the 70s AND, there was some FANTASTIC music in the 70s, so I get ya!! But then, along came DISCO...( LOL, NOT a disco fan!!!) I jokingly refer to it as the "REAL" "day the music died", as opposed to the Buddy Holly crash!! 60s or 70s, THIS is GREAT!!!

"Ear Candy" is a most inadequate description. I've always loved this S&G song, this re-read into more than two part harmony is bewitching, at least. Just on the song, ages ago Mick Jagger was interviewed by "Rolling Stone" magazine (yeah, cool, right?) and was asked which of anyone else's lyrics he wished he'd have written. He said "Laughing on the bus, playing games with the faces, she said the man in the gabardine suit was a spy, I said be careful his bow-tie is really a camera".

Thank you F & F for reminding us AMERICANS that we used to have music that was filled with beauty, meaning and substance. Had forgotten how diverse, beautiful and thought provoking AMERICAN MUSIC used to be... Beautiful cover of an old favorite, impeccably done, as usual.... Now, try Punky's Dilemma by Simon & Garfunkel... Mahalo.

I was pleasantly surprised when the camera was on Scott. The reasons (as I was the videographer) was 1) this was videoed as a momento of the occasion for Tim at his request. This event was originally solely ABOUT THE GIRLS!!! Who would have known 11 yrs ago that ever band member would have become stars in their own right!!! 2) Scott is indeed a phenomenal bass player. But he usually is a bit further stage left and is not usually in a group frame shot except on a center camera. Scott also tends to move around and goes in and out of a frame. In later Twisted Taco vids, he was also blocked a lot by equipment on stage left. And while I don’t remember exactly, I am guessing that as I was shooting from stage left at Bella’s I took a chance on this shot of Scott, hoping that the other two cameras would have a good shot to use in editing -so I could actually shoot Scott doing his thing.
