My grandson is in this video a couple of times! I think it is absolutely AWESOME, I LOVED IT!!! Congratulations on such a wonderful video! It's so nice to hear patriotism instead of all the violence that we hear about all the time.
I find it so cool that if you listen closely, every person makes a different sound when they play the sax. All the tenor sax players make a different sound, same for the altos, and all the other saxophones in the song
Beautiful thank you. Feeling patriotic. I just got my first sax...a late 1920s martin tenor. Never played a sax, as I'm a clarinet girl. But this one is easy to play. First day was able to hit all the notes, low to high.
Derek, you have just become my favorite saxophonist of all time! Thanks so very much for not just innovating, but teaching, reaching, including, and communicating with those that are normally so solitary! Wow! I’m still pulling myself together after viewing that wonderful saxophone orgy of sound. Outstanding forever with that collaboration. I’m so sorry I missed it myself.
Not an American. A Canadian reed man but stumbled across this today. Lovely job to all. It’s been a tough couple years since this was posted but this recording brings hope that your country can begin to heal and come together, instead of drifting further apart and more divided. Music can heal all wounds and has no political leanings.
Derek, thank you so much to do this and involve so many other folks to play and celebrate Our nations Birthday. You inspire so many others to be involved and take the time to put this together and share. God Bless America!
