+Adam 12 Thanks so much for your comments! It's so good to hear when people appreciate what I'm trying to do. As for the beginning tune here, it's my original. But who knows, maybe deep in my subconscious I was hearing something from somewhere else. You never really know, although I do remember slowly piecing this one together a few years back. That being said, I have pieced two of my songs together here. The first one you're talking about, I originally wrote for a full combo. Hi! Ive heard a producer somewhere in RU-vid that when he asked his followers to continue a riff he made, 30+% (?) of the 100+ submissions have similar, if not exactly the same, starting notes. Maybe that explains why some songs carry a familiar vibe because of a small riff, maybe it's done already and youve heard it somewhere, or it's just your brain simulating a similar thought with the one who created it.

Best idea I've ever heard

Peter, I've experimented with loopers, and have actually performed a bit with a couple (the boss pedals, as well as the computer program Mobius). However, I noticed that as soon as I started performing with one, people started to assume that a lot of my strictly acoustic stuff was also looped. Plus, I currently enjoy the challenge of seeing how full of a sound I can get out of just an acoustic sax. Thanks for the comments!
