American English Accent Training for Russian Speakers: How RUSSIAN Speakers Can Master The American English Accent Like a Native Speaker
In this video I will share with you the solutions to the most common challenges Russian and other Eastern Europeans speakers face when trying to master the American English Accent.
Welcome to my American English Pronunciation and Voice Coach RU-vid Channel! I’ve been teaching American English Accent to Russians and other Eastern Europeans students for over 15 years.
As an Award Winning Broadway Credited Voice, I always found it fascinating when my foreign students would be able to sing a standard American song with a perfect American English accent. Somehow singing completely eliminated their accent. Since that discovery, I have created a proven, groundbreaking, easy to understand, result oriented approach to reduce, and in some cases eliminate the foreign accent completely (don't worry, it doesn't involve you singing LOL!).
Welcome to the Accent Reduction Gym! The ONLY way we can learn how to master the American accent and sounds and rhythms is to retrain our tongue and soft palette muscles to create these American sounds and rhythms that your body is just not used to making. I will be providing you with specific exercises focusing on the sound and feel of specific American "Targeted" sounds and how they link to each and every consonant. In addition, I will share specific singing techniques to help create reliable muscle memory that you can call upon instantly. This technique has helped thousands of my accent reduction students master the American Accent and sound rhythms a lot faster.
Our goal is to make sure these improvements are retained, so you can call upon them when you need them. That will involve practicing on your end. If you commit to the practice exercises I provide in this course, you will master the American English sounds and rhythms much faster! Take the first step to propel your career to the next level!

That was really useful) We usually don't pay attention to the sounds, which is similar in our native language and in English and only practicing pronunciation of sounds like "th, r and a" So, thanks you for your understandable explanation:)

In reality, the worst sound for russians is "th". Nothing like this exists in our language. It is incomprehensible how to even incorporate it into a fluent speech! I wish you could make a video about it!

Thank you, extremely useful exercises! And a comment for the russian speakers:

Can I ask you a question. When you hear non native English speakers singing does it sound a lil funny to you or you just take it as it since English has so many even native accents. I am just very curious since so many popular music is in English and people all over the world singing in
@kelseymathias3881

@@everend_xyz Sometimes I hear an accent when a non-English speaker sings, but other times I don't...Even some British English speakers sing with no accent...like in some Beatles songs.

Wanted to check Your preview section before deciding whether to get the course and it doesn't play, it goes first couple of seconds and then stops, is it done on purpose? all other similar courses from other instructors play with no issues except your preview course?

I'd say keep talking. And at first, don't stress too much about pronunciation. It's almost the last thing one needs to worry about, in my opinion. First-try to have fun talking, communicating by any means possible. Don't give up, and good luck!

Как носитель русского языка - я могу сказать, что нечего не понял, у твоего акцента есть акцент, который слишком громкий, на русском языке можно говорить как чётко так и почти не шевелить губами и языком, при этом все тебя поймут..
@greenwoods798
@greenwoods798 5 месяцев назад
да, действительно: в русской речи совсем не обязательно широко открывать рот, при этом вполне можно говорить четко и разборчиво даже с "вялым" ртом
