I would still go for a crv or a RAV4 because of high resale value and reliability. But if you want a new crossover cheap, you can buy an equinox that's cheaper than the other two because most dealerships are now offering incentives.

High resale only applies if you are paying MSRP. Honda has had some reliability issues lately, even in the CRV.

i just picked up a equinox rs model with bose sound system and full leather with all the safety features and sunroof. fantastic looking vehicle at a awesome price. i dont want my money eventually going back to japan.keep it in north america

Overall, a very nice-looking vehicle. I like the blue exterior and black wheels and trim. The interior has about the right number of options for the price. A nice family vehicle for younger buyers.

The pre refresh model had the 2.0 turbo that was surprisingly fast. It’s because of that turbo or lack of now that I wouldn't get a refresh model. Bring back the turbo and we might can talk.

I might probably by the Chevy Equinox but is it enough to go against the only Honda CR-V or anytime Road and plus there's no hybrid and even though the missing word does not have a hybrid I would still take it. I would still pick the Nissan Rogue

It nice interior but other car maker like Kia and Hyundai and even Toyota have a full digital display and have softer interior. And are cheaper and more powerful.

As someone who has worked on these for a while now I can confidently say to go with the rav4 and CRV. This 1.5 turbo is horrible and the turbos tend to go out as early as 50k no matter how religious you are with maintenance. Low displacement forced induction engines are not reliable in the long run. Stick with the 2.5 na engine in the rav4 and I can guarantee it will not have as many engine issues as this

I know the earliest 1.5 and LE2 1.4 had piston ring groove issues. But I thought that was fixed with a pcm update long ago. What other issues do they have?

American car brands definitely need to up their game to survive in the market. Looks like Chevy has very lazy designers lol. That outdated interior is a big let down for this car. But yes for the price it may be ok.

It’s the worst in the segment and it’s outclassed by every rival except the Eclipse Cross so I would wait for the 2025 redesign

I would wait for the redesign. This is one of Chevy’s volume sellers, this segment is hot and means a lot to them. If the redesigned Trax is any indication, this car will be really nice for 2025.

unfortunately, Chevy products. fail easily when it comes to reliability!! nice look and the headlight may look sharp as well but stops there no further. 175 HP. with Turbocharge?! Not that good. A 1.5 L engine is not enough. that should have a 2.5L engine and over 200 HP and over 203 pound-feet of torque.

Ok do you really think a 1.5 liter Turbo is gonna outlast my 2018 RAV4 😅 good luck if you want more power a least get a truck with a V6.

I enjoy your reviews but pls STOP calling plastic or vinyl seating "leatherette" . "Small leather" does not exist. It is either real animal skin leather or it is not. If not, it is vinyl, aka plastic.

Thanks. Leatherette = faux leather = fake leather, but it's not exactly the same as a vinyl. There are many things done to it to make it more realistic to the experience of real leather than a basic vinyl seat in a truck
