The gold shops in Thailand got robbed all the times, I think that they might desire to not filmed. So sorry for what happened but good people and bad they’re live side by side so if you meet bad guys you’ll meet also good guys in Thailand more good people still there❤

About taking photos, some shops are not allowed due to copyright , privacy, security . For the gold shop i think it is about security.

Yeah, i imagine its because once people DO plan a robbery, they first do "scouting" of a place, to see where the cctv cameras are, if there are blindspots, which counters have most value etc. That's the reason. Nothing rude about them saying no, they just cant know who'll be watching it later on.

Thonglor area is an area with very expensive land and housing prices. such as high-rise condominiums Most of the country's top Thai billionaires and foreign millionaires around the world live in the Thonglor area, including another important economic area in Bangkok. There are so many restaurants to choose from that are good and diverse options. I am very envious of you being in Thailand to have delicious food that is not expensive, the weather is not cold, the people are friendly and lovely. i like thailand ❤

I’m going to guess they didn’t want you to film at the gold shop as they don’t want you to be able to figure out their security system or ways to rob them. That’s common in many expensive jewelry shops.

Im surprised how quiet that hotel room was despite being so close to the road. 47:00 lets just hypothetically say that this is "just" regular cold thai tea, nothing special. Even if that was the case, holy cow the presentation and care given. She's treating the liquid as if it was liquid gold being poured for a king. This is how you build a brand, very impressive.

June - Sept is the peak time for durian in Thailand. Or Tor Kor always has a great selection. This year I'm going to Penang, Malaysia to try some of their best durians. 😉

Hi Zane! Normally, in American hotels, they run your credit card into the computer as your security deposit in case you steal or break something in the room. If you don't have a credit card then they will take your bank debit card and pull out $100 USD as a deposit and later it is returned after you check out. I travel to Las Vegas a lot from Southern California and this is how the Vegas hotels do it.

You need to try durian at a different stage of ripeness and decide which one you like the most. I personally like durian not that ripe. You can tell a vendor you want the one that's just ripe enough with its flesh not too soft or too hard. There are different varieties of durian. You had Mon-thong. Kan-yao is another variety you should try. It's hard to find a garbage can as it was often used to plant a bomb when some bad people wanted to create a situation in Bangkok. But you still can find it in shopping malls (normally a transparent one). In Japan, you won't find any of them even in shopping malls. They want you take a trash back and dispose it at home.

You can rant about anime because at least I would love to hear your perspective about it. As a matter of fact theatres in Bangkok always got one or two anime movies showing each week. I just watched SLAM DUNK movie, called The First SLAM DUNK which is phenomenal both in art direction and energy. Highly recommended if you are an anime or a basketball fan ✌️

Yes. The anime scenes in Thailand is second to none, we have Japanese anime on our national TV all the time, mostly on M-COT 9 channel, i used to watch them quite obsessively when i was young, i won't miss them, every weekend. Dunno if they're still on though, haven't watch them for over a decade. I watch Online these days. There's also Channel 7, but that channel has mostly American Cartoons dunno about now either with how Woke American culture has become, most cartoons from America should be highly inappropriate to show to children these days. Probably being replaced by Japanese anime by now or just shutdown completely, i'm gussing here doe.

I’m just wondering if you like Japanese pastry? There is one shop around Promphong area I’d recommend you to visit not quite far from your hotel and it’s like a hidden gem. The shop’s called Custard nakamura and there’s a japanese supermarket called UFM close by you might want to check out too 😊

In case you like to visit temples, in soi 101 there is a temple with the biggest jade Buddha image in the world. It was cut out of a big piece of jade that weight 35 tons. Also if you visit China town there is another temple with the biggest solid gold Buddha image weight 5.5 tons.

Thanks for sharing it’s interesting as if I’m also on the trip. Durians in Thailand is not pungent at all. Wait till u visit Malaysia their durians are the best. It has bitter, buttery, sweet durians which u must try. Next time when ur here in Spore I’ll treat u to these pungent fruits. We eat all the flesh of durian till you only see the seed. Video is really long I had to split watching in half 😅

I have been living in Bkk for at least 3 decades. Gone into to negotiate buying gold items multipke times. I would say they still have trade secrets like prices for types of gold, workmanship cost, and types of jewelry for sale. So, although gold bullions are fixed price on any given day, and everyone knows the price, the other things may not be equal. That's my best guess.

A person who reads one book will never know more than a person who reads many books. Accommodation in the area seen in the clip is definitely not cheap. It's almost like Soho in New York. If you want cheap accommodation anywhere in the world will be the same. It needs to get out of the tourist area and business district.

That was blackpink orio special edition. In case you don't know, Blackpink is the biggest girl group in the world (with one member, Lisa, who is Thai). you can only get it in Malaysia and Thailand ... and i think the Philippines? Not sure.

20:04 Shell and ESSO are always overpriced in Thailand. They're not recieving the benefit of Thai sourced petroleum, so the Thai chains will always be cheaper. Idk how ESSO and Shell still able to operate in Thailand tbh, when everything they do always falls short from our native chains like the PTT. the PTTs has everything. It's a full service rest stop, they have food court, Coffee shop (Café Amazon in every PTT station), 7-11, clean toilet. The toilet in my nearest Shell and ESSO are always smelly and dirty and they both have nothing attractive about them, no 7-11, no food court, no coffee shop. They're the most bare bone stations. I'm seriously flabbergasted by how they're not going bankrupt.

Respectfully Zane, are you that naive as to why you can't record at a gold shop??? It's the same reason why you can't video record inside a bank! It's because gold shops and banks get robbed by armed bandits. Often, robbers will videotape a gold shop to organize a plan on how to successfully rob a gold shop, jewelry shop, or bank. I've worked in the banking industry for nearly 20 years and if we see someone recording our bank, we will tell them to erase the footage or the police will force them to erase the footage.
