Thanks for posting this Mark. I too am married to a filipina shes 38 now im 59 now i am American weve been married 11+ years and live stateside in Louisiana. I have seen how the filapinas change when they get to the US and i dont recommend anyone bringing them home with them they CHANGE believe me. My wife is 5'2 and weighed 80 lbs when she got here. she was skinny with a nice but butt now she weighs 200+ lbs and is a rude toad frog looking something with a terrible attitude whew i dont think that would be the case if she saw girls hitting on me every day like they did in the PI.

Married after 2 months? Gave her access to everything? It is definitely his fault for being in that situation. I would never ever give my wife/gf/partner access to all the bank accounts. I have accounts I only have access to and also setup a separate joint account as well that I fund from my main account.

This story is made up. You can see holes over it. Like how was he able to transfer all his us accounts including military pension to a newly created and shared PH account so easily.... but be unable to change that to the point of sleeping on the street? Come on.

@@last_samurai6690 As I understand it, Philippines is not one of the countries where US military pay can be sent. However, you can have VA disability pay and social security payments sent to PI very easily. But yeah, does seem to be some holes in the story or in the poor saps head...maybe both.🤣

It's good to educate your Pinay about finances, as it doesn't seem to be very well understood there, nor here in the US either. And having things set up for them when you go to your final resting is very important. But, as the man you spoke of who transferred everything there foolishly, no matter how much you trust your Pinay, wouldn't it make sense to have an "Escape Plan" and something left back home just in case? Sounds like common sense to me.

There are really no guarantees in life. People change over time. Foreigners may choose to live in with their younger girlfriend then when she becomes nasty in the future, kick her out and find yourself a good home for the aged with 24/7 caregiving services, an in-house doctor and nurses. A Japanese retirement community has been thriving in Cavite, Southern Luzon for many years now.

RU-vidrs promoting the expat lifestyle doesn't help the situation. Yeah, guys have always been around that messed up. Let's say your channel inspired 100 guys to move to the Philippines, and maybe 20 messed up and ended up broke. Yeah, it is all about personal responsibility and correct choices. However, the RU-vidrs are a part of this equation and that starts by selling some kind of hope to people who probably are not financially stable enough to retire early or create a successful business in a foreign country. Then the expat community gets surrounded by these type of guys and end up getting scammed or making loans that never get paid back. How many expat lifestyle RU-vidrs are out there? If my numbers are close to actual numbers, then this is a trend you will see a lot more of.

I got married to a wonderful Filipina and brought her to the States. We had a wonderful marriage and relationship. She was true blue. A very hard working woman and life partner. Been together for 36 years until she passed away 2 years ago. The problem today is that relationships develop too quickly. I knew my future wife for 2 1/2 years before we got married. I don’t understand how you think you know someone for only a few months and get married. You get what you deserve, I guess.
