An American Bobtail adopted my husband. She was feral and has become a much-loved member of our family. Loving, sweet, strong and drives me nuts when she climbs up the wall to the roof.
Mine is dumb! He is super vocal and chirpy and very playful and food oriented. He loves to play and very very cuddly and very much a lap cat. He is petrified of strangers and will sprint to hide if the doorbell rings but we didn’t raise him as a kitten and got him as a young adolescent and so that may be apart of it. Loves his belly rubbed. Spraying him with water only makes him chirp more. It’s like an anxious meow
I'm surprised there was no mention of their "primordial pouch" It's amusing watching mine run while his pouch belly sways back and forth! I don't think I've seen any other breed with one.
