Fun Fact: Abraham Lincoln almost walked the Oregon Trail with his friend and his friend's family. But he said no and the family ended up eating each other to survive
never gonna give you up never gonna let you down never gonna run around and desert you never gonna make you cry never gonna say goodbye never gonna tell a lie to hurt you
Fun fact:California was actually a north/free state, which caused the slave states to create a few states above the imaginary line the free states put on them. I learned this from oversimplified.
slightly inaccurate the few states above the line, the 36,30 parallel were the Kansas and Nebraska territories. Someone, I forget his name introduced the idea of popular sovereignty to decided if those territories should be free or slave by allowing the people within the territory to decide. He did this in order to win favor with the south when he ran for president. However this caused people from across America to migrate to sway the vote. Radicals such as John Brown also showed up and the sectional tension between north and south exploded with violence and bloodshed in a event known as bleeding Kansas. However that wasn't to get the south to allow California as a free state, actually the south agreed as long as the Fugitive slave act could be implemented.
It would have been cool if you stopped the Southern territory at Texas and the Northern Territory around Nebraska and let West coast become integrated over time.
Great video. Definitely NOT garbage. As someone who was born in the "north" but lived in the south for over a decade I know they always said "the South will rise again." This wasn't meant to be super accurate and was just a fun alternative history but I would have added some population to the north. That was one of their advantages in the war. You should do "Civil War 2.0 Redux” and just make a few tweaks like a small boost to the population of the north and/or give them moderately better weapons or more resources.
"The North declared war on the south, I don't think thats historically accurate," was the quote I think, but no, it was accurate, after the southern states declared independence, the North/Union declared war.
Small things to know, some Southern states that allowed slavery like Kentucky and such were part of the Union/north and yet allowed slavery until they passed the 13th amendment.
I find it fitting that Washington was the last state the north had before being taken by the south and was the last state the south had before being taken by the zombies.
Ohio until like 4:06 was like: *yeah we have boarding states whats the point of fighting when the surronding states can just, you know, MOVE to our state or fight if they will.*
3 people repilied but it only has two likes (I did not like) so that means at least one didn't like but commented and could be more so good job copying silly guys
World Box God Simulator. Sincerely someone from The American South who was born in Missouri but lives in Arkansas. He says Southerners are racist but I rarely encountered any racist in The South and The South is very Conservative heck I myself am a Conservative and I don't give a dam about race. The liberals on the other hand do for they keep trying to blame modern day white people for the poor conditions of black neighborhoods today yet I never took part in worsening their lives nor am I am going to apologize for something my ancestors did that I myself did not take part in.
The start is not correct the Union had a long and gruesome war, actually loosing more men than the CSA the Union lost many many battles, and the union actually lost the first battle of the civil war.
