This incident happed During dismantling a 50-ton Russian tower cran (BK-1000) a230 ton American Crawler crane collapsed and base on this video the operator was the reason comment your idea bellow. Check out more at / crane.land
Seems like when the crane tipped it was swung over the side (of tracks). I ran alot of americans, but I can’t remember on a 9310 if the chart is always 360 or not? However I do know that on a 9310 the swing circle is off centre….when you want to raise or lower the boom to or from the ground you want to be over the Idler end and toed up. But anyway….if you pause the video he was over the side when tipping occurred , so it seems to me perhaps the cause was that there was enough capacity over the end of the tracks but not over the side.
Yes thats right american 9310 width is 21’ 1” and length of crawlers are 28’ 2” thats you can over load the crane over front and even more than that over tip of a side frame and the result when the operator start turning without lowering the load and booming up reach to the side and at that moment he know he fu**ed up🤭!
That’s right, and now that I think of it. There is side frames extended and retracted charts on that machine. It’s very unfortunate this happened, one must be VERY mindful of these things, so many different configurations. I hope nobody was hurt!? 😳
