@wheels-n-tires1846 a brief embarrassing mention from Terry in his video where he indirectly calls you "inexperienced" + a premuim ship you already own from a crate, so you get a 2.1 Million Silver Compensation.
Don't spend the gold you can sell tech tree ship, rebuy and choose different elite bonus. It only cost silver which unlike gold is free to obtain ingame.
Same here. Given the choice between providing AA/DD cover for friendlies or farming BBs, I'm going for the team win, even if it doesn't net the top position.
My first T10 from 5 yrs ago!!! Power crept a lil, and doesn't have any new "cool" tricks, but still maybe the most solid all around cruiser in game. I always forget about her, and after a few months, dust her off and never fail to get a "wow" battle out of her!!!
This was my second T10 after Mino, I think - could have been third after GK. Still fondly remember the time when she was the dop AA dog, before the CLs were added
Get well soon! Ive been under the weather for the past week too. Also i guess this is one of those ships youve talked about a lot but never actually reviewed ;). I couldve sworn youve already created a review. Also also when are the reviews from all the pana cruisers coming?
I've been through another COVID episode, actually... third one this year. Having long COVID means that it resets my progress every time, which can get frustrating, but such is life 😉 I'll feature the USN hybrid BBs next week, but now that I'm done here, I'll include some Pan-Americans as well
@@FunandGameswithTerry oof tough luck. Great ot hear youre optimistic tho! I forgot anout the hybrid carriers for a moment, but there are some real killer divisions possible, especially since theyre US planes!
Range is more important today than it used to be. You can up it with the legendary mod, at the cost of some reload, but often creative use of island cover and positioning can compensate quite well. They're meant to be played aggressively - of course, if the rest of your team decides to camp base, that's a bit of an issue.
A video done very well. My biggest grip with a line this old is that the cruisers should atleast get 1 charge of sonar too. With a shimakazi and all it's torps a sonar would do well with these heavy cruiser ships.
I would say the major limiting factor is probably going to be the amount of blueprints you have. Especially T9 and 10 can be quite demanding in that regard, pushing beyond T7 is going to be quite an investment for a new player. I'd generally recommend going through a couple of things up to T5-7, until you found one line and playstyle that you're really happy with, before going further, but it's a personal choice in the end. You'll find that T8 can often get a bit competitive, since many players consider it a sweet spot for casual play.
Yay, finally a proper review of my beloved first T10 CA. She is a beast that can even brawl battleships when needed. Kinkaid with double radar always spook any Smolensk foolish enough to smoke up near me. 😂
Yes, if I had known that Lepanto would have sat still, I'd totally have gone in guns blazing, outrun the turrets & AP-disassemble it from the other side with prejudice. It's quite fun to do that to a BB, but if they pay attention, it can backfire quite a bit as well.
That's not an easy question to answer, because there are some _very_ different ships out there. Ranges from things like Jinan, which is essentially a destroyer, to Petropavlovsk, which for all intents and purposes is a battleship (with poor armour). Ships I am personally _not_ fond of in T10 are Henri, Marseille, Goliath and Petro, maybe Gouden Leouw. Everything else is pretty good imo.
"...and teach the carrier not to do that again." You're joking right? Ever hear the phrase, throw things at it until it sticks? That seems to be the common logic in this game when it comes to carrier players. They don't care how much AA you have or that you will wipe out every squadron they send. These players are so mindless, they will watch your ship wipe out their planes and instead of picking a different target, they will just keep focusing you until you are dead or they are dead from a flanking dd's torps because your name is Terry and they absolutely need the whole map to see them sinking you. Because verification issues... Trust me they do it to me all the time. Hence why I'm always playing a stealth dd.
I do notice when I get focused sometimes - try going out in an unreleased ship on a press account with the CC badge as portrait :) That said, there are two possible outcomes, both of which are good, when it comes to CVs. After they've lost the first strike package (and I've healed back the damage), they can either avoid me, which is mission accomplished for the ships I'm escorting (either BBs in the line or DDs pushing), or they keep sending more planes into the grinder. Am I going to go down eventually? Probably, but if I can effectively neutralise a CV for 5 minutes, taking out 30-40 planes in the process, allowing the rest of my team to play unhindered, that's a win in my book as well. I sometimes "bait" enemy fire to enable a teammate to ambush, like distracting an enemy BB by playing "vulnerable cruiser" if I see a DD sneaking up. I quite enjoy those things :)
@@FunandGameswithTerry have you seen Mad Max Fury Road? Think of the little acolytes spray painting their mouths in silver and screaming "witness me!!!!" to their team...
You discounted the double Smolensk, but the one driven by a good player outscored everyone else, sank three ships, and got 80+K in damage. I agree that premiums like the Smolensk or Friesland don't help poor players, but they do make it easier for good players to rank pretty high in the battle.
