Tô absolutamente adorando esse vídeos. Sou filha de brasileiros, e nasci no EU, mas aprendí falar português em casa. Tem muita coisa que nem sempre entendo porque crecí na cultura americana (também tinha coisa que não entendia da cultura americana quando era criança, porque foi criada por brasileiros). Esses vídeos me ajudam sentir mais chegada a minha cultura e queria muito agradecer por ter criada esse canal. (mil desculpas por qualquer erro escrito, realmente nunca aprendí escrever em português, so it doesn't always come out right 😅)

American here, soon to visit Brazil for the first time. ❤️ I have lived all over the US and visited almost every state. Numbers 1, 2, and 8 are going to vary greatly depending on what region of the country you’re in. Honestly, New York is not a very accurate example of manners used throughout much of the rest of the country. I would NEVER tell someone outright I didn’t like their food, and we say “you’re welcome” way more often than “mm-hmm.” But I grew up in the Midwest and have lived primarily in the western US. Also, I don’t know anyone who cleans only with disposable wipes. Washable rags and spray bottles have been the main thing I’ve come across being used. 😊 Thank you for your helpful videos!!

Adorei esse video! Eu sou afro-americano e para nós churrasco significa diferentes tipos de carne, assim como no Brasil. Se houver cachorros-quentes e hambúrgueres, geralmente é para crianças, porque é fácil para elas comerem. Mas é comum a gente ter costela, frango, hot links, tri tip, muitas carnes diferentes. Cozinhamos com carvão, mas também usamos churrasqueira a gás e lenha.

When I visited Brazil, another American custom that I noticed was different from Brazilian custom was that most of the Brazilians I saw ate pizza with a knife and fork while most Americans just pick up a slice with their hands. The first time I saw this at a Brazilian pizza restaurant I immediately thought of Mr Pitt eating a Snickers bar with a knife and fork on a Seinfeld episode.

Sou polonese estudando portuguese desde alguns meses gracas aos videos desse tipo. Coisa interessante e que na Polonia nunca na minha vida toda vi o churrasco com cachorros quentes ou hamburgers. E sempre com carnes, salsichas e verduras e muito rico com escolho dessas pratos. A cultura de fazer churrasco e o costume che achamos muito importante. Acho que os convidados se sintessem offendidos se o hospede offerecer so "hot dogs" or "burgers" :D

Also, I think for a Brazilian, the cultural differences would be an extra shock by starting out in the northeast, especially NYC. That's another level, even for US Americans, like southerners.
