Hello there in Honesdale. We've been to the Dorflinger Museum in that area 3 times and really enjoyed it! We're from PA - - northwest of you. Happy you enjoyed this mini-movie that my spouse posted. Also, referring to my post below - - To those interested, please post a link to this RU-vid video on your Facebook pages, too.
I don't know anything about glass, but this was very nice. I am from New Jersey and my understanding is that New Jersey used to be a state in which there were a few glass factories. Now, from your video, I see that it was also a place in which glass was cut, too. I guess I should have realized that. I just purchased my first piece today. It is a glass pitcher with a plain handle that I am trying to identify. The bottom 2/3 rds is cut, the handle and top are not.
I 1st heard of cut glass from a Dave & Sugar song: "From cut glass to diamonds, up that ladder she's climbin', cryin' golden tears." A Google search led me to the website, which in turn led me to this vid.
