2:19 - I'm crying. Roger's blood curdling scream that came completely out of nowhere along with the look on Stan's face is arguably one of the funniest moments in this show.
@@SamanthaJonesSATC It is sort of the reverse of Family Guy. Family Guy started amazing but then they got worse when they settled into a sustainable rhythm. The first season or 2 of American Dad sucked but they got great when they found their rhythm. And for kind of the same reason too. Brian and Stewie in Family guy and Roger and Klaus in American Dad. The changes to those two character really seemed to coincide with the change in quality for the entire show.
@catshadowdragon And I agree. I could revisit the first two seasons of American Dad and still see where the comedic potential was from the start. Far too many people haven't given AD enough of a chance and not the only show that needed time to find its feet before settling into a groove. Family Guy became very repetitive and gory.
This is Roger we're talking about. He once tried to kill the entire family over a roast that he asked them to throw. You really think selling a senator's daughter would be hard for him?
you got to love the details of the amerian dad. The first time Roger did coke, he was using a library card, makes sense he was in school. The second time he did coke, he used Stan's CIA ID card.
There was a night bar (open after legal timing) i used to go to after the club. I could never find it sober. But when I drank I always ended up there, it's like I went on auto pilot walking
I never noticed before, but if you look at the background to the right at 0:36, you'll see Stan's crack dealer and Crackhead Bobo (the crack dealer's mother).
2:19 me after listening to too much James McMurtry, drinking too much coffee, reading too much Beastars fanfiction, and staring at myself in the mirror with a mischievous grin and a furrowed brow for more than ten seconds while high on THC.
