all those people hating on me for talking about dirty kitchens, well here is an exception, it looks working clean and no gaff tape holding spoons together is a bonus, i should also mention the staff seem to have actually attending safe food handling classes also, good work people the pies look amazing
Some poor guy in DC was fired few weeks ago for videos of RAT INFESTED Popeyes chicken, shame on his employer, I think he delivered chicken or something, so I'm not sure of his employer. He had started a go fund me and was doing well Last time I read. Wish I had this pie
Love your videos, love all the kitchen sounds and the close up visualizations of what's being prepared. I can watch these videos all day, very relaxing and the food always looks so delicious! Please keep them coming..😁
I also love the sound - just kitchen sounds, no shitty music. But I'd like some subtitles about the ingredients used. What is that brown crumbly "dough" - ground cookies? The yellow cream (vanilla cream?) and the orange cream (thickened egg yolk?)? But anyway, it is always a pleasure to watch his videos.
Next to this place in Red Hook, there's also the marvelous Red Hook Winery where they make wine only from grapes collected arount NYC (Long Island, Finger lakes...)
We have what we call "The St. Regis" finish; fresh whipped cream, a drizzle of raspberry puree, sprig of mint and topped with a fresh blackberry. No wrong choices.
GRACIAS.
Hey Steve's Authentic Pies, would u consider adding chess pie to your menu? You already have all the ingredients in house (eggs, butter, sugar, flour, vanilla, salt).
RIP those lemons that fell in the sink 😔 but seriously, I LOVE key lime pie! I discovered a year ago just before the pandemic hit, that Chick-fil-A's frozen lemonade actually tastes like key lime pie! Now it may just be the one I go to here in Kentucky, but if anyone goes out to Chick-fil-A, you should try it to see if yours tastes like mine 😄 let me know if it does or not, I wanna hear how it went and what you ordered. Thanks for reading my comment and I hope you have a pleasant day~
Interesting take. I snuck a peak one time inside the Blonde Giraffe kitchen. They had a copious and ridiculous amount of corn starch which I found suspect since they only make key lime pie. Their “recipe” is basic AF. But their texture in the Frozen pie on a stick will never work from that recipe. Still on a quest to replicate. Thanks for the breakdown.
@@user-yg1br7vr4c You are correct. The three tablespoons (per batch) equal about .25 per (10-inch) pie. Traditionally, the chemical reaction of the lime's acidity and the egg yolks causes the filling to congeal and the filling to set up. This has proven difficult (impossible) on a large scale.
