The leaks have me more excited about Summer!! I wasn't interested with the dog hobby or white skin (especially two years in a row), but her having the Nanea mold has completely changed my mind! Don't get me wrong, I am a dog lover. It feels like pets are an easy out for a heart warming hobby, instead of thinking outside the box and trying to attract people with new, more unusal hobbies. I am already planning to save for most of Summer's collection, even with the done 100X over pet hobby. My long term wish for GoTY is more PoC and a doll who's hobby is doll collecting. The mini doll line is such a missed opportunity, they could expand the contemporary dolls and add more outfits, accessories and even furniture. I would go broke getting dolls for my dolls.
A doll collecting dolls is such a fun idea! They could actually make outfits and accessories for the minis! I think that would generate more interest in them.
@@schminckiette exactly!! And it would open up AG to people who normally couldn’t afford it. Growing up I always wanted an AG doll but they were well out of the price range my parents could afford. A mini doll would have been such a wonderful compromise to the pocketbook lol. I actually found a line of mini 6” dolls on Amazon called Lola, and am probably going to go crazy getting dolls for my dolls. 🤣
I love the mockup you guys made - she looks a lot better in it than the blurry image we got. I think the Nanea mold is so cute, and I like her outfit as well.
I am really excited for Summer. I wasn’t sure how I felt but hearing about how much she loves animals because I love ❤️ animals so much! Also, even though she is not a person of color she is still different! I mean the Nanea mold, new strawberry 🍓 blonde 👱♀️ hair, glasses and I know usually every doll has pets but her whole theme is pets! I don’t think of her as like Grace because she had a baking business purely but it seems like Summer’s theme is pets and animals!

Have you heard any rumors about new Meet outfits for Truly Me? AG used to do it every 2 years. That would be now in Sepember. A couple times it was 3 years. I would so like them in one outfit I liked, instead of 5 I really dislike! Any news?
I am looking forward to Summer releasing and before that, knowing more about her! I think that AG has permanently terminated selling their books on Amazon because Summer's novel was taken out and they said they don't know when or if it will come back, and usually that means they are NEVER coming back. But on the other hand, they said the same thing about a book I preordered that is also releasing in 2025 and they put it back a few months ago. Hopefully, it will be the same with Summer's novel and it doesn't mean that American Girl will never allow Amazon to sell their books ever again. I preordered both of Summer's books. I think she is releasing on September 17th because that's when her journal releases. And there's something you said in one of your videos that I didn't get. You said that with American Girl nothing is permanent but you also said in that SAME VIDEO that the journals were permanent, leading me to wonder if you are saying they are NEVER going away no matter. Is nothing permanent with American Girl or are there some things that ARE permanent and that they will NEVER stop making, no matter what, even DECADES or more from now?
Nothing is truly permanent in this life, but for the time being AG has switched to journals as a default book format that comes with a doll. AG is not terminating their deal with Amazon, Summer’s book is still available for preorder, but the listing doesn’t have any photos.
IDK if this is old news, but Gap/American Girl has a collab. (A line for girls, similar to the Barbie collab from last year, it’s relatively plain from my perspective) BUT- the doll outfit is fun, with the bag that matches etc. We have an Old Navy card, (if anyone has a gap/old navy etc. card) you can use points for the AG doll outfit as well. It’s also on the AG website as well.
I made a video about it earlier this week! Did you but it? I want to but the girls’ hoodie for myself, but I am not sure it will fit and my local GAP doesn’t carry it.
@@rainbowunicorncat1 I feel gap’s sizing is a “little” forgiving so it’s possible, if there are XL sizes and you are a small/medium. I do wish they made the doll outfit the red denim. I had a similar issue with the Barbie collab (since it was just BARBIE GAP) I feel like self referential is fun. I might get it since I have the points with our gap card (and it would be free lol)
I’m excited for her. Btw did you see all the posts on American girls instagram on Goty 2015 Grace since the Olympics are in Paris. People are also speculating that there’s a little tie in Summer’s story like they did with Lila and McKenna. But who knows maybe 🤔.

Not sure about Summer, I thought it was going to be the MG face mold. A bit disappointed that it is not. I am a fan of Nanea, I have her. Also, I did think TM 118 (I think) was very cute. We will see what she really looks like in a few months.
@@rainbowunicorncat1 It's interesting because a few years ago I was saying that there should be more Nanea Mold dolls because I find the mold very cute and adorable! Then starting almost two years ago, we get new dolls with the Nanea Mold!
