I'm Estonian. 🇪🇪 Wait a second- You watched "The life of Boris" video? It's littearly an Estonian try not to laugh. 😂 When you said "Kuidas läheb?", then there are no streches. You just say "Kuidas läheb?" like the "a" from "cat". Our language is pretty tricky, you see: You see "teil" and you don't make it American-ish with changing it's phrase while speaking. You just say, how you see, whitout accent. "Minu nimi on Jessica" is the best. 👏🏻 "Jah" sounded so navie to me and "no" souded a little alike "ai" witch means "ouch". If you would've said English for "a", it had been perfect. *The more you know* Your "e" is our "a" whitout the "i". Yeah, if you see an "e" anywhere, you can basically say "a" whitout the "i" for it. And when you see "ä" you can say it like "a" from "cat." So I'm not being critical or something, just an 11 old giving a grown-up a short and easy Estonian lesson. Even tho Estonia is underrated, then there are beautyful places to be, a beautyful language to learn. 🇪🇪 -Good bye!- Head aega! 💗

The only two things that you seemed to be struggling with, is that you are used to pronouncing some letters differently and you are putting the "h" letter in the words. We Estonians pronounce everything out very clearly and pronounce every letter as it is. We also don't have silent letters. Speaking Estonian is speaking a little calmer and pronouncing every letter out.

LOOOOVE this :D I'm an Estonian, of course I'm okay with any foreigner getting it wrong ;) It's funny in a good way, and then it's lovely to see progress ^^ Just saying, it's one of the biggest mistakes when speaking foreign language to try to pronounce it as you would in your native language. So, double-vowels are pronounced different in Estonian, as are the umlaut (ä, ö. ü) and tilde letters (õ). Though influenced by some Germanic languages (Dutch, Swedish, German), beside a few Russian influences, our language is rooted in the Finno-Ugric language family (closest widely-used relative language - Finnish). äöüõ vowels may be hard but you did actually pretty good on these! And E in estonian sounds like A in English. Just some tips :). im estonian.

I know that Estonian is hard to learn bc we have different language. I am not mad at you bc you can't speak Estonian, but when I watched this video I was like: "How you can't speak that.
