This is AHS peak writing and acting right here. That's why many ppl say this is the best season. But all the other seasons are great as well. My favorite is Coven, then Freakshow.
I always love watching reactors grow an attachment to Thredson, because he's the only seemingly sane person here, and helps Lana escape, just for the horrific betrayal everyone gets.. As Sister Jude said, all monsters are human
Grace is based on Lizzie Borden, who many believe murdered her father, and stepmother with an axe. She was never convicted, but it is an interesting case to look at. It happened in 1892, so the investigation is just neat to hear how different it was back then. Oliver Thredson is mainly based on Ed Gein, a serial killer in the late 50s, who would also make furniture out of human skin. The candy bowl on the coffee table was the top of a skull.. Lana Winters goes through so much shit. The actor in the flashback scenes, of Dr. Arden, was played by his son. Perfect casting, lol. Jessica Lange's monologues are so phenomenal, I love her so much. This will forever be the best character she plays, so much depth in her character, and she only gets better.
When Dr. Thredson said he never worked there, he meant that he was assigned by the court to only be Kit’s doctor; he was not an employee of the asylum itself.
Great reactions! This season is so stressful even watching it again knowing what happens my heart still races! The acting is so good in these, this season really scared me
The acting this season is incredible… You called it tho, saw Bloody Faces plan to get the confession before the trap door scene, I was floored when I saw that 💀😂
Those weren’t bloodstains on the lampshade at Dr. Thredson’s house. They were human nipples; the lampshade was made from human skin. And the candy dish was the top of a human skull.
Once again idk how you managed to make accurate guesses, like Bloodyface's true identity. Fun fact: Oliver Cromwell's (Dr Arden) real- life son was used for the old b&w photo.
Matty: I feel like the doctor has another plan Me who knows the truth: oh boy you are not ready 😂 Edit: btw what the doctor did to charlotte was give her a lobotomy which basically turns the patient into a mindless person :(
Yeah, it could be a real horror story for us in the eras preceeding the 70s, that's when homosexuality was removed from diagnostic guide as a mental disorder. If not mental institutions, getting beaten by cops, or killed by anyone who knew about you. And it was still a crime in many parts of the country. But the real horrors are for most of the ones, still today, who don't live in Western society. In many countries, the penalty is death.
