More tank tops (or go totally shirtless), Matty! We can't have you overheating. 😜 I love this season soooooooooo much. 😱 And I used to live in New Orleans, so I recognize many of the places they shot at. 🎬 Plus, my ex-husband (still a dear friend), worked as a production assistant on it.
@@illuminotme825 He just might, if it gets hot enough. 🍻 I'm so glad you love this season as I do! If you ever visit New Orleans, you can tour the real Madame LaLaurie House. I first learned of her in a Wax Museum (now defunct) that had figures of her victims, chained in the attack. Their expressions were horrifying. And Ms. LaLaurie's figure had a whip behind her back. Nightmare fuel!
Ooo that’s exciting you can recognize places! There’s a movie that was recently shot downtown from where I’m at and I’m excited for the movie just for that reason lol
AHS: Coven was nominated for 17 Emmys including Outstanding Miniseries. It won a total of 4 including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for Jessica Lange & Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for Kathy Bates. Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, & Frances Conroy were also nominated for their performances.
Kathy Bates! She's phenomenal. Her most recognized work was in Misery, for which she was the first actress to win an Oscar for being in a horror movie. She also won an Emmy for her role in this season, I think.
The Butler is Denis O'Hare. He played Larry (the guy with the burned face) in season 1. He's a bit of a chameleon :) Oh, and Nicholas Cage actually did own the real LaLaurie house at one point.
Except Madame Delphine LaLaurie (as well as Marie Laveau) were real people. Delphine was was a real serial killer. Sadly, in real life she escaped to France.
Madame Delphine LaLaurie, Kathy Bates, was a real, racist serial killer back then. Also, Marie Laveau, Angela Bassett, was an actual "Voodoo Queen" in her time. Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy (Myrtle Snow, who also played Moira, and the Angel of Death) were fucking QUEENS in this season. Its been argued that Kyle's mom is actually the worst person in the entire series.. idk about the worst, but shes certainly up there, and we barely needed to know her.. i think the trigger comes from that being too real in day to day life The Queenie and Centaur scene has been argued as the weirdest, and unnecessary scene, too Also, if you didnt notice, the butler, Spalding is played by Denis O'Hare, who played the burned guy, Larry, in Murder House.. you will hopefully learn to love this actor continuing forward, hes great
Coven is the first season I ever watched of the show. It’s still my favorite. I was aware of AHS when it first aired but didn’t know any of the actors at the time so wasn’t that interested. Finding out Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe, & Emma Roberts were going to be in Season 3 is what originally piqued my interest. Been watching the series ever since.
Fun fact: Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, & Lily Rabe recently reunited in a HBO movie called The Great Lillian Hall. I watched it on Max last week. It was pretty good!
Angela Bassett, and Gabourey Sidibe fucking added much of the cultural element that was missing, being set in New Orleans where the origins of Voodoo, migration of witches and their historical and generational stories reside, and other linguistic or traditional dress is all a part of Witches and they're perceptions throughout women in history. Beautiful. This is my favorite season and I'm so happy to watch!
Never need to justify wearing tank tops, or showing more skin in general. Saw your recent intro where yourr shirt is fully opened. Very grateful to you for that. Your reactions are more than enjoyable enough, the skin is just a fun extra to enjoy with all the other amazing content. 💜
Look up the actual history of the people that Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett are portraying in this season. It's pretty interesting and adds so much to the season, knowing alot of the events actually did happen.
I do kinda worry about aging, but more like what my eating and drinking habits are, also sleeping. I don't ever want to become an addict to beauty products, or get surgery to make a huge change. I want to age as gracefully as possible. I don't want to become Fiona, even thought I really love her.
On episode 3 you were contemplating if Fiona was technically "the supreme" or not and you said she must not have all of the powers because she couldn't bring back the lady from 1834. The lace from 1834 was never dead. She didn't need to be brought back. She had been alive in that casket for 150 years.
I live in central NY and it's been in the 90s all week and will continue for at least a few more days 🥵. And due to a recent surgery, I can't drive [to anywhere with blasting SC] or even go in a pool. Back to AHS. Didn't I tell you Francis's (Myrtle Snow) look in this season would be iconic? 😁. One of my favorite characters of hers.
The reason they mention Nicholas cage is bc LaLaurie was a real person, the slave attic was a real thing and he DID buy that house. Which is enough for me to think he’s a psychopath forever. Actually that and the coven house are both currently for sale
Was wondering what your opinion on the intro of each season is. Personally I think they’re really unique and set the tone for every season. Do you have a favourite?
0:16 😢 88° at 9pm? Oh sweetheart, whatever shall you do? You want hot? Try living in Central Florida... actually, don't. We're a fascist conservative haven now. We're just as bad as Texas.
Hey, since this month recognizes a particular historically marginalized group, and it celebrates their continued fight for equality, I was wondering if you would react to something for that certain subset of your fans/subscribers. The Birdcage with Robin Williams would be a wonderful film or But I'm A Cheerleader.
You should split the episode’s up, 2 or 3 each episode is good but 4 is two much for one 1 hour reaction video, the most iconic exceptional season must be appreciated.
4 episodes!!! We’re getting spoiled haha. So not sure if you realize this later on, but Fiona never needed to resurrect Delphine. Delphine never died, she was just buried alive. 31:16
