Very extra but also very true… watching it made me realised I almost got in Cady’s situation where the queenbee noticed me the first day of school because of my pigtails and invited me in her group. I realised she wasn’t nice and befriended the bullied red hair kid. Now he’s still my best friend ❤

Tina Fey went to my HS ( think she was class of 88 ) I was in HS when this movie came out an I remember she was doing a 60 minutes or 2020 interview at our school because she used her experience going to our school to write this movie… so I remember the morning of the principal came over the loudspeaker and was going his spiel about “ I expect you all to act like mature young adults” then in 3rd block full swing of lunch, in a school with 3 thousand students but Kids we’re runing through the shot when this lady was trying to do a serious interview and she looked like she was getting mugged or something but Tina was just chillin in the chair an was like ( no this is normal youll he alight 😂 Upper Darby High School is not know for our chill ) so they did the interview with a student running past or Popping their head in every 30 seconds 😂 she’s like just roll with it 🤷🏻‍♂️ that’s why Tina Rocks 👏🏼

What I think a lot of people miss in this movie is how Regina isn’t really that bad. She’s very bossy and leads her friends but to the outside classmates she’s very nice to their face even complimenting that girls skirt and sending her off feeling more confident. Like yeah she told cady it was an ugly skirt but cady is suppose to be her bestie keeping a secret. She gave the girl a confidence boost. a real mean girl would have spread rumors that the skirt was ugly and had other student laughing at her. There also the scene where she tells Gretchen fetch is not gonna happen. If you actiallh pay attention to the faces of the actors in that scene you would see how uncomfortable Gretchen was making cady feel about “having a crush of Kevin G” Regina notices this and shuts Gretchen down for cady, which sends Gretchen into the Julius ceasar rant. Regina’s fault is she has main character syndrome she truly isn’t that mean and only lashes out when she or her friends are being messed with. What cady and Janice did was worse then any of what Regina did in the film. She may have over acted in cases like Taylor widel but she was poor texting Gretchen.
