At this point I'm not even worried about Russia, China, Venezuela, Iran, or even North Korea starting WW3. Im worried that someone in Washington D.C. is gonna pull a Chaney just to see how fast we box these guys up.
Russia: “We have hypersonic missiles, and there’s nothing you can do about it!” China: “No, we have hypersonic missile! You should respect us!” The US: The US tired of them “That’s it, BOEING! Get your tool kit”
You learn something new everyday, I live 5 miles from McGuire and see c-17s in the air like everyday. I must see one in action before I die because that’s just hilarious
The rest of the world needs to remember that here's just some of the weapons we have put on planes in the past. WW2 we stuffed a 75mm howitzer onto a freaking B25 for ground attack purposes. Then figured out that 18 .50 calibers was better and just mounted that many of them in the freaking nose of the B25's. In Vietnam we took old C47's and put miniguns out the side for CAS and the NVA and VC hated to hear those overhead. Let's not forget about the AC130 2 20mms 2 40 mms and if that wasn't enough whoop ass we stuffed a 105mm on the freaking thing.
At this point America is prepping for aliens more than threats on earth, here’s hoping there wasn’t some covered up ufo crash a few years back that put us on the terra invicta timeline
Rapid Dragon is still probably scarier, cause any cargo plane can now be a bomber with pallets of nuclear armed cruise missiles that can just be dropped out the back, no muss no fuss.
That brings a whole new meaning to Birds poop. Oh my word, what would Hitchcock do with that? Tippie Hedren couldn't hide in glass phone booths anymore.
Simply a new application of an old idea, the C130 Hercules has been shitting BABs (Big Ass Bombs) for more than 50 years and Minuteman ICBMs have been drop-launched from C5 Galaxys. I'm positive there are others.
Sorry, I kept thinking of that old 80s show with the helicopter... night wolf if I remember right... thought they had a missle revolver on it... but I was like 6 or 7 when I was watching it and thought it was pretty much the wildest aircraft for years... I don't think other countries understand how much we sit around thinking and building the most effective and functional ways to kill and / or blow people and things up... just sayian
@WinVisten yeah that's it... sorry like I said I was a 6 or 7 year old kid geekin out on how cool the helicopter was... that side wing missile launcher had me jumping up and down on the couch... before my mom knocked me off of it...
hmmmm missed out on a perfect dirty harry reference.. - Uh uh. I know what you're thinking, punk. You're thinking "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Now to tell you the truth, I've forgotten myself in all this excitement. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and will blow your head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself a question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?
Pentagon - "We want to mount a gun in a C17. McDonnell Douglas, what can you do for us?" McDonnell Douglas - "How big a gun do you want?" Pentagon - "YES!" McDonnell Douglas - "We've been working on the idea of mounting a 16" battleship gun in one ... the Navy has a few spares lying around."
see what russia and all the other countries that like to beat their chest need to realize is everytime they spout some nonsense about some new magic weapon they made uncle sam goes to one of his defense contractors hands them a big ol black budget check and says make something that'll make that new magic weapon of theirs look like comparing a modern battle tank to a horse drawn chariot
the idea of a 'hypersonic revolver' just makes me think of a massive revolver, firing nukes while being wielded by a cowboy... same as when i try to think of america while ignoring all the bad stuff
Was a structures mech at Douglas Long Beachgot to work on the 17 and would wonder if an Abrams could shoot out the back if the upper door was raised and the ramp door was lowered to level or if the shock wave would damage the aircraft. An amazing bird!
@@Apollyon67 I'd thought the tank might have to back up on the ramp door! How about a container of air to air missiles as an airbase defense system against mass wave attack. Watched too much Combat and 12 o' clock high! Lol
Hes an outlaw loose and runnin, came the whisper from each lip, and hes here to do some business with a big iron on his hip *(big iron on his hiiiiip)*
