Grew up strict Mormon in Utah so 100% understand how much courage it has taken for David to do what he has done. He gave up stardom to serve a mission for them. Love his beautiful voice and beautiful soul.
You are loved by so many. Never ever again let someone "try" to break your spirit! Hold your head high and be proud of the man you are. You owe NO ONE any explanations of who you choose to love.. God Bless you for your courage..❤❤❤💯💯💯❤❤❤
I was saying leaving his show because he spoke of his sexuality IS A FORM OF HATE! Every musician speaks about their personal life on stage. Why should David be any different!
It's not a form of hate at all. Who makes some people so egotistical and entitled? Emotionally secure people don't need validation for their choice of sexual preferences. Nobody cares, some people need to grow up.
@@sabinegray1450 Not really. If I were an entertainer, my music would be the object, not my coming out. Again, most folks don't care what one's sexuality is, I don't anyway.
Stfu , ppl walked out cause knowone gives a shit about your sexuality we don’t wanna hear it I don’t tell ppl I love porn constantly, u wanna hear that ?! No , nobody cares
David, I love you! I am so concerned for your safety and your health. Because of your platform I feel like you’re in danger. I watched Philadelphia last night and just wept. In this interview, I don’t see any bodyguards and I know that we have a lot of hateful people in this world. You need to have people around you for your safety.❤😢
I’m so concerned about this interview because it was getting political and that can put David in a dangerous situation. We have so many shootings in this country. Most of them are people being stupid, but with David’s platform, he is putting himself in a situation where someone may not like his stance and what it represents. I don’t see him with any bodyguards. When he was younger, the bodyguards would protect him from fans, but now he needs them more.🙏
I have so much love and respect for David. It's your choice to walk out of an artist's concert but it is rude and disrespectful to me. I would never do that unless the person was spewing hate. David was doing the opposite of that and most likely helping others in the audience who may be struggling. He still gave a full concert as he always does. He is using his platform for good. He's amazing, I support him 100%.
David has given SO much to his church. They need to start giving back. I feel so bad for him. He has patterned so much of his life around the church and now he seems very lost.
Listen. If it was 5 minutes of his journey go ahead. But it was 20, 20 minutes of time wasted, it only takes 5 minutes to explain the importance of your journey and how to love yourself and everyone else not 20 🤦🏾♀️
It's not hate, people definitely understand what gay is, They just simply don't agree with this ideology being forced into the society. Just like you have the freedom to sleep with a man and use your body in a way that it wasn't designed for, They can disagree with that too. It's a free country.
If you disagree at a concert it’s called heckling and you’ll be removed. But yeah you can disagree and leave, you’re welcome to. But you can’t tell him what to do at his own show, it’s not a philosophical debate, it’s just how it is. Does he come to your job and tell you you’re making him feel uncomfortable? Your in his house when you’re at his concert. You can sit and listen or you can leave, your complaints however are not valid.
I don't agree with heterosexual ideology being forced on society, either. All those rom coms, straight celebrities talking about their s/o's and families, men and women kissing..........it's unacceptable.
This is not about David Archuleta, but davidd, do you think heterosexual couples can't share oral sex? If a man and woman can -- and most do -- then how are gay couples the ones using their body against design, when it is the same thing? Your view of design is weird, as if "Your mouth is only for food, not for talking, singing, or humming!!! You spitting, kissing, sinner using your mouth in unnatural ways!!! Lol.
@@sabinegray1450 do people not pay for his entertainment? He makes money from them being at that concert, you nimrod. Nobody pays to hear how hard his life is because he's a pole smoker who takes it up his filthy tailpipe.
I AM SOOOOOOOO PROUD OF U DAVID!!! DONT EVER STOP BEING WHO YOU ARE MY FRIEND! MY SON IS GAY AND I DONT EVER LOVE HIM ANY LESS! PLEASE STAY TRUE TO WHO YOU ARE AND IF ANYONE DOESNT LIKE IT…. LEAVE, WALKOUT, IN FACT, DONT EVEN COME IN THE FIRST PLACE! YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION MY LOVE TO MANY PEOPLE!! GOD LOVES YOU PERIOD AND IF ANYONE ELSE DOESNT LIKE IT…. YOU ARE A GIFTED, TALENTED, OPEN LOVING BEAUTIFUL MAN WITH A BEAUTIFUL SOUL HONEY!! STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF AND KEEP GOING IN LIFE! I LOVE U DAVID!👍❤️🙏🏽🥰😉😇👍
I honestly didn’t watch this video. I will, however, comment. A concert is an event people have paid to attend and be entertained. They do not want to hear about your sexual preferences.
he did not talk about his sexual orientation from what I have read in the media. He talked about his life journey. IF you Had bothered to listen to this short interview you would have heard David explain that he said nothing inappropriate or disrespectful. He did say here that he probably talked longer than he had planned to when he saw a couple dozen audience members walk out. (Their loss) I agree with David's explanation that one might ask oneself why it is that David sharing his life story make's oneself uncomfortable.
and I lived a similar life journey as David's story in the 1970s and the 1980s when I first joined the Mormon church as a closeted gay teenager and then left Mormonism when BYU kicked me out for coming out to people I thought were friends
The "American Idol" alum went on to say that he hadn't said anything explicit or inappropriate while discussing his journey during the show. "Two years ago I was thinking ending my life was better than admitting this openly," Archuleta said. "If you are more offended that I say I like guys than you are that someone has felt it was better to end their life for that reason[,] I want you to think about why that makes you uncomfortable. I want to have uncomfortable conversations. That's how you gain understanding."
Are you the same type of person that thinks it's not okay for women to dress like whores in skimpy outfits with butt and boobs hanging out, and having vulgar language in the lyrics. Or do you think that is perfectly fine. Should they also read the room. Or do you not have an objection to that kind of concert?
@@user-fb8rn8vr7u no, when people go to a whore concert, they’re getting whore content. When people are going to David Archuletas CHRISTMAS concert, they’re expecting Christmas content. No one cares about your sexuality at a Christmas event. Why is that so challenging for you to understand?
@@afteryou21 What's even more challenging for you to understand is number one you paid very little to see David in concert in comparison to other over priced concerts. Number 2 don't be so ridiculous to not realize and understand David gave you a fanatic Christmas concert. How about you grow up, comparing what he said at his concert to being gay parade shows your sever lack of maturity. It Displays your true ignorance and tells us everything we need to know about you! News flash you are disgusting compared to anything David said!! Your hypocrisy has no bonds does it? You make it pretty obvious that you condone the whore concerts so why bash on David for being open and honest? what are you really afraid of yourself?
