I am Middle Eastern person and this is funny to me. America has the best natural infrastructure and resources in the world and yet you chose to invest in an unproven model Dubai. New York, Stamford, CT or even Chicago has more capital going through than Dubai. The American Market is where it's at.

You're right nothing really beats the natural beauty of the United states no amount of artificial gardens can ever compare but to say Dubai hasn't proven itself is a little biased. The country grew astoundingly in the past 50 years and with the vision the government has in place to address the flaws of such rapid growth is also immaculate. If there's something the UAE has shown time and time again is their ability to deliver on their vision and promises :) Also property in the UAE is currently undervalued compared to other metropolitan cities meaning your investment is relatively risk free :)

If your net worth is approx a mil. You’ll live extremely comfortable in dubai, in the best neighborhood and still can afford to buy a car. But if you’re a shopaholic and loves to go out a lot + grocery, then you might be spending to much. You just have to balance

Sounds like a nice place to live. I would like to have a house there, but I prefer the US not because of the taxes but because most of what I know is here but that doesn’t mean I’m not interested in trying new places.

do you think they will ever legalize medical marijuana? I suffer from a medical condition and am an advocate for the medical use and I understand the UAE has a strict stance on any type of drug use. Not being able to use marijuana is the only reason I have not decided to make Dubai my second home and want to know if there is any chance of this changing in the future?

As a scientist in R&D of medical cannabis, I have discussed with one of the ministers of UAE, the answer is no such a timeline yet, however you can look into Oman, there is a underground market for it.

It's said that to live comfortably and have an amazing experience without worrying about budgeting on hotels, flats and events/places to visit, you ought to earn perhaps around $150k - $400k a year. This isnt fact I can be very wrong, have a look around for what others say but I mentioned that range if you want to live the best experience and not be concerned with strict budgeting

An honest review provides a fair picture by describing pros and cons. Skipping the cons (besides the scams) is a demonstration of dishonesty. And that means a lot of nasty things when it comes to making this type of videos. 10 for trying though!

Dubai is a tad bit over half the size of Florida and the surrounding areas DO NOT have the same liberal views of Dubai. Americans generally do not follow soccer, cricket, camel racing, or the others sporting events I saw listed on the tourism site. NFL, NBA, MLB, and College sports are important to most. It's safe now, but it's hard to imagine what would happen if someone were to try and invade, or a new ruling monarchy decides to go back to traditional times...the Sheikh is 71 years old.

As a US citizen, you still have to file taxes every year in the US and pay taxes. It is not completely tax free, and depending on your tax bracket, you're lucky if you can save ~20% on taxes between living in the US vs. UAE

Very true, while the air quality is relatively worse it really is no big deal as most apartments, villas, townhouses, malls have air con filters and purifiers in place the air quality isn't something that you will notice all that often !
