When he was younger, Montoya Santana (played by Edward James Olmos) got pulled into gang life on the rough streets of Los Angeles after growing up in reform school. Before long, he’s staring down an 18-year prison sentence. While behind bars, he climbs to the top of the violent drug scene, but once he’s out, he chooses to turn his life around and focus on family. Unfortunately, his old gang buddies (Pepe Serna, William Forsythe) are determined to drag him back into a life of crime.
