That was a fun video! I don't watch much TV anymore, but my husband does, and American Pickers is one of the few things I don't mind watching with him. I don't know why, but I love that they let you film there. It just goes with the vibe that I get from them.

Dude I loved that guitar strum sound at the intro, totally 90s sitcom vibes when a show returns from a commercial break! Have fun and safe travels!

From November 1891- February 1892, Buffalo bill brought his wild west show to my city in Glasgow, Scotland. His show was HUGELY popular here and we have some incredible pictures of native American members of the show walking along Victorian city streets in the rain. There is now a statue of Buffalo Bill in the last bit of open space where his show ground was. Its now a lawn bowling green.

Hi! Thanks for the tour, it's fun! Someday when you are working your way up California again, check out Sebastopol, CA. It's a very interesting, quaint and you can go there on your way to Bodega, CA. the setting of the movie "The Birds." I was actually attacked by a flock of birds there so the myth is true! LOL

Seeing Iowa 80 again was a real blast from the past for me! I'd half-forgotten the enormity of the place, and all the tchotchkes, gewgaws, brick a brac, souvenirs, and junk. I missed the truck museum on my way through; I'll make sure to visit it next time - if there is one.

This was great Justin. The great reveal of American Pickers location. I have seen the carefully shot views of the location but I always enjoy seeing just beyond the view to see what else surrounds it. That is a great show. Now, one of these days I am going to have to see that truck stop!:) Keep safe, have a great time

Long time watcher, just commenting because of your excitement for this video. Have you been to Laughlin's Riverside Resort car museum? I know you're at Oatman a lot, but I've never seen you on the casino side of the river and it's worth a quick 30 minute look. Haven't been since my daughter was about a year old... So about eight years, but it was a dollar a person back then. I think you'd enjoy it😉

Penny Farthings get their name from old British coinage, our old Penny (modern ones about the same as a US one) was a bit bigger than your Quarter (similar to a modern 2p if you've ever had one) and the Farthing about that of a Dime, the cycle being based around larger wheel = less rolling ressistance resembled the 2 coins placed on a counter. Oddest place I found one of those River Boats was on the Norfolk broads as some of those water ways are a bit narrow which could make turning fun, I also narrowly missed the Pickers on their visit as they passed through my neck of the woods, I too sometimes watch them or American restoration on the rare occasion I watch TV as it's what I grew up doing, clambering through all sorts to find something to drag home and fix, Cars and bikes you can legitimately pick up easy if you've got the knack for something like a Bicycle as not a lots really changed that much in those 100+ years once you break it all down.

My brother just told me you were close to my home lol. Live 5 blocks up the hill from the bike. If only you came just 1 month later you would have been in time for Tug Fest, the great tug of war across the Mississippi between Port Byron and Leclaire. The annual bike event is true, infact theres two. The first one is the one he referred to which goes from Port Byron, IL to Sparta, WI which has the same statue but wearing a red jacket. The second event is the Tour de Brew. Well lets just say there's many miles of biking and drinking at bars along the way involved, some times it makes it to Port Byron, other times it stops at Rapids City.

those oil tankers were some of the riskiest places to be during the war first they were highly prized as a target by the Germans/Japanese because the oil/fuel powered everything and secondly when they were hit survivability was low, so grandad was a true hero and excuse the language but a true BADARSE

I'm wondering if maybe some of those classic gas station & oil product advertising signs could have come from the guys or the stores of American Pickers. I used to watch the show fairly regularly, and one of the things they used to specialize in was what they called, "Petroliana," stuff having to do with gas stations, gasoline, and fossil fuels products of all kinds, including vintage gas pumps from back in the day.

as for weight old cars are alot lighter than new ones however they ran trans with no overdrive and less efficient engines so the fuel economy wasnt better at all. adapting modern trans and efi systems though you can get good fuel mileage out of a classic car.

Hey, trains are pretty cool too, though. My Grandmother, my Dad's Mom was into trains & train travel of all types. Of course it didn't hurt at all either that her husband, my Grandfather had worked for the New York City Subway System, for the bulk of their marriage, from 1940 at least till 1969 when he retired, he was 9 years older than Gramma, he passed away in 1976, at I believe age 67, when she was age 58, and I was sbout age 11. I'm the oldest of 2 grandchildren of their oldest son, so I was their 1st grandchild, born in 1965, so she became Gramma to me at age 47, and he clearly at age 56,.
