Fun fact: The sound in the background is the siren of a Stuka dive bomber, of WW2. For Europeans a well known sound. The siren was there to create chaos and fear every time the bomber dived. Even when they did not drop the bomb. So even that one sound-effect adds so much to the song, when you know the story behind it.
the sound at 4:58 sounds more like warning siren, do you mean the later whistling one? Cause you are talking about bombers, and I only know about bombs having whistles on them so im not sure what im looking for
@@fooltimer It was not the plane self that made the sound. The Stuka had an air siren mounted. With the extra airflow of a dive the siren produced this sound. The Stuka had only 1 bomb, or an anti tank gun, with not that much ammo. But this way, even if they were empty, they could spread terror on the ground, just by diving at them.
@@Draugul I understand its not the plane engine, but a whistle, just wondered if its on the plane itself or on the bomb, as some bombs did have whistles on them afaik, so that even if you didn't get hit, you would hear them comming...btw I still don't know which sound is it in the song 😅
Till is using a technique that actually comes from German opera called Sprechstimme which means ''Speech-voice'' . It's a mixed technique where you use melodic speaking alongside music, that almost sounds like poetry recital and at points can be developed in full on singing. Fascinating stuff.
You can also find a lot of resemblance with the Sturm und Drang period from Germany. If you analyse the music, and the storytelling it is a lot closer to classical music than most other bands, especially in rock and metal
@sawnmiwe1460 I was raised on classical music and opera. your analysis of Till's voice technique explains why I'm so taken with Rammstein when I really don't care about metal bands at all. I find them a bit boring, actually. But Till Lindemann makes Rammstein so exciting.
There is a deep meaning in this song..... The song is an exploration of the power of pain and experiences. The first verse is dedicated to the person who knows pain in the form of burning heat on the skin. In the chorus, "fire away!" is an invitation to seize the moment regardless of the risks it may bring. The third verse refers to the danger of knowing too much pain and the "burned child" who becomes separated from life by the fire of pain. The bridge emphasizes that not everyone is equally happy because what brings joy to one person can bring despair to another.
If you get a chance to watch the first 'XXX' with Vin Diesel, Rammstein plays this song in the beginning of the movie. And even for just a movie scene, they put on the pyros.
Yes, "Deutschland", but I'd really, really like to see you react to "Zeit". It is something completely different and you should really hear that side of Rammstein too. I think you will be very surprised and also appreciate the band even more. It's not all about their crazy live performances. There is so much depth and variety in their music.
+1. Deutschland is a must do. Zeit is awesome too. That video.... Skip the live performances from now on: Their videos are works of art often worth as much as the music.
First Rammstein experience was back home in Reykjavik, Iceland back in '01. Indoor arena, no open windows or doors. We all left looking like we just got out of the pool with our clothes on... out into 15° weather. Good times.
@annegretkasten6277 let me put it this way You shouldn't wear a sweater in the first 50 rows but even if there were seat numbers everyone would love to swap with you if you can't handle it in the front.
@Black Pegasus I really like that Rammstein is one of the only bands out there that can create both serious and silly songs. Also I like that Rammstein has a classical musical style to them by not just having a bass player, a drummer, a guitar player but also a harp player, and keyboard player, and piano player in order to balance out the heaviness of the bass, drums, and guitar.
I've never been at the front, but I can tell you I could feel the intense heat from the very back of the stadium.....very welcome on a chilly night! I'm from the UK and their last concert was in Cardiff, South Wales. The fire department had many phone calls that evening, people reporting that the stadium was on fire! 😂 The smoke clouds the pyrotechnics created were phenomenal 😮
Actually around 10 years ago they almost postponed their concert in Riga because Arena had problems with water pressure😂😂😂😂 so couple of fire trucks were outside just in case 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just wanna let you know that I just came home from today's show in Munich (they are playing 4 shows here this week) and I can't even put into words how incredible it was! I'm going to see them again on Sunday, can't wait! 🤘🏻
Seen Rammstein live twice, really is a live show like no other, last time I was so close to the stage that I'm amazed I came out of there without singed eyebrows... this video was actually rather tame compared to some of their pyro set ups
From being at the concert in the golden circle you can actually see the stage hand guys come up and change stuff, I could see them run up and put the flame throwers on the heads of the guitarists. The front row is very hot! I dont know how they handle it on stage.
it is actually fascinating isn't it, seeing the pyro assitants and stage hands etc, how quick and discete they are! From being golden circle/feuerzone one night to seated next night at same venue it was amazing how much you don't really see that side of things at all. Very well produced, well executed and of course epic performances
Mein Tiel is brilliant live. I wonder why they are picking silly songs like pssy. When the subject matter in Mein Tiel and Weiner blut are so powerful. And the live show is mind blowing
I just saw them live for the first time in Denmark. The show is so amazing! I was in the Firezone & even the pyro from the back & top of the stage was hot! The stuff closer to the audience was surprisingly hot & i was in the 4th row! Could even feel the pyro from the tall delay towers! Also the foam in p**sy smells great!!! Like a bubble bath!
Guys, if you need a good-looking, sweet-smelling native speaker to plug into future Rammstein vids with the knowledge ... I know this Portugese guy who speaks a word or two of that crazy German language. 🙂🇩🇪
I would love to know where I can get Kristall Weizen in the US. I've looked forever, all bars and shops carry is Hefeweizen, Lager and Pilsner. I dont even like beer but True, German Kristall Wiesen is soooooo good.
The front row at rammstein is called the Firezone for a reason. It translates to Firezone. Its awesome. And yes, if you go to such a conert into the firezone and have one banger after another. They are really fast between their songs. Also, yes, react to Deutschland but i can tell you it is hard as - man, especially the video is a complex music video even for Rammstein.
At the stadium tour there were four (or six? Can't remember.) fire throwing towers among the audience aswell. Heat could be felt everywhere inside the stadium.
First time seeing live. The official video for this is them playing at a club in the opening minutes of the Vin Diesel's xXx movie. Very cool also. Did you know they have a song they sing in Spanish? Rammstein - Te Quiero Puta!
Front row, middle, side, back - it gets hot all around! They have huge towers in the middle of the audience in stadiums that shoot fire as well so no one is left out in the cold so to speak. Still waiting for that reaction to live Mein Teil!
You guys are really great. I come from far away Germany but I find your way of evaluating the bands and discussing them really interesting. I'm actually already an old grandpa at 53! However, I always enjoy your channel and what you talk about! Thumbs up and keep it up. Warm greetings from Germany !
It's not just the pit, it's the entire venue that's f'm burning! Last time I saw them, it was open air at a festival, about 40.000 people. It was probabæy about 35*C in the middle of the square, where my friend and I was standing. All members of the band as-well as many key staff and crew are all trained pyro tech's, for the exact reason that it's ao incorporated in the shows. It was a requirement for Till to be allowed to wear the wings...
If you want to see an other side of Till Lindemann, he has a song with an amazing artist called Zaz, she is French... The song is Called Le jardin des larmes, that song it's so beautiful 💕
I was Rammstein shows 7 times and one of the in a front row (2012 tour Made in Germany). My eyebrows was smoked of fire, my body was very sweat but it was amazing experience
just stumbled upon your video and just wanted to let you guys know that Rammstein singer Till Lindemann is currently being accused of sexual abuse by maaany young women. Apparently he's had a woman systematically recruit young, pretty women to come to so called "after parties" for years, where one of them would be chosen to orally pleasure Lindemann ... and they were not informed what was gonna happen to them ...some of them were even drugged... I'm sure you guys didn't mean any harm, but just so you know!
Have you only reacted to live recitals? I know they are amazing I love them, but have you already reacted to "Mein herz Brennt" Piano version? .... Highly recommended ♥
i’ve been to their concert in july in paris this year and i was all the way to the back of the stadium, like 4th before the last row of the stadium and it’s funny bc i once said “oh it’s beginning to be cold out here” and then bam fire in front of the stage and i surely i wasn’t cold anymore lmao
I took this from LinkedIn: "he stage is 60m broad and 35m high, 90 trucks deliver 1.350 tonnes of material, and it takes 60 hours to build the stage up. At every concert, around 1.000 litres of fuel will be burned in pyrotechnic effects"
I saw them twice GREATEST SHOW EVERRRRRRRRR , the only problem i have with RAMMSTEIN is since i started listening to them I can't listen or enjoy any other rock band ,
Been in the last row in the ice skate-arena and I felt the warmth of the flames. Been in 20 meters from the stage, in middle of 4 long pylons that had flames shooting from them (those were 20 to 50 meters from me) and it felt like opening the door to hot sauna. Nice warming in the cool night.
They used to give out stickers that said I survived the first row with rammstein also if you want amazing pyrotechnics react to the live version of sonne
I saw them in Düsseldorf, in the stadium. I was RIGHT at the back and could not only feel the heat but also my inner organs were bounced by the bass...
Nice.. That one is so good. And also a big room for interpretation. The next big one is "Deutschland".. If you want to understand something please with lyrics.. "Amerika" is also great..
I've been to some Rammstein concerts and have been standing in the second row and let me tell you, you feel like a chicken getting roasted! It's just sooo hot, but worth it! And to answer your question from some videos before: I'm from Germany and I know your channel from reacting to Ren. And when I saw that you (finally) found Rammstein I was like YES!! Finally!! Love your work, guys!
If you havnt seen them live do it! I saw them in 2001 Indoors , and 2022 at Gillette stadium best show I’ve ever been to!! The experience is like no another!
Hey Guys, love your channel. Just wanted to let you know that there actually are big rumors about Til Lindemann, the Lead singer, in Germany. Not sure if you need to think about being careful what you release these days.
I had nose bleed seats at the eagles stadium, and when the flames would shoot up, you instantly felt it get hotter. Wish I could send you a picture of the flames
we were sitting above the floor seats in the loge seats, good view.. but the heat we could feel was so much, we saw them at AT&T Center in San Antonio.. We were quite a ways back and the heat was still intense
These dudes are literally fire!😅🔥 I love these guys!😂 Now that you mention Daddy Yankee and La Gasolina, Rammstein actually have a song in Spanish it's called "Te Quiero Puta" it translates to "I love you b****"🤣 LMAO! It's funny how they being Germans can actually roll the (R's). I know that probably you guys being rappers usually what you would think about metal is that it's just noise and guttural sounds but there are so many ways to enjoy the art of metal music it's amazing!❤ Can you react to the band "Inflames" the song "When the world explodes" it's a wonderful song, the video it's live and I think you will like it, enjoy!🤘😊
8:30 bro fell for the oldest trick in the book, vibing to the keyboardist when he should have been looking out for guitarists straping flamethrowers to their faces. a classic blunder
