Love the Dave reactions, you need to watch a uk Netflix called Top Boy about London gangsters, Dave even plays a villain in the newest season, you’ll love it shows what it’s actually like in London
This song was a song he made for the soundtrack of a show called "Top Boy", a UK show created by some people from the old grime scene, incredible show if youre looking for something to watch in your spare time.
YOOOO. Ive heard UK rappers reference Top Boy all the time and i didnt realize it was a show, i just thought they meant like they're top tier or something like that. Imma look into it im super interested now
@@ericmiller9331 I’m gonna do you a solid here. Don’t start with Top Boy season one. Start with Top Boy: Summerhouse. This was the original series before Netflix revived it with help from Drake. You’ll get all the back story that way.
I highly recommend any of Dave's tracks. But seeing as how much you appreciate Dave as more than just a rapper, and see his growth and development way beyond that, plus your like of Fredo, I suggest you check out Fredo's album "Money Can't Buy Happiness". Dave features on one song, but beyond that, he produced most of the beats and also executively produced the whole album. So you'll get to hear some good Fredo street stuff, with Dave's production vision and direction. You'll also learn (in the first song) the reason why Fredo and Dave are so close.
WORD KSO. I definitely think uk rappers should get more recognition in the us because right now Am sure many people will have a different opinion But uk is on fire bro for quite some time now we’ve taken over us and that’s a fact
Awsome reaction as always. As always I Love your passion for rap and hip hop, and lovin even more your passion for Dave and UK rap. You can see the passion and joy oozing out of when your watching and reacting to content and tracks from Dave. Keep it real, 👊 Also you Have to react to Rap Man, shiros story… It’s EPIC!
Your dog was looking at you like yo why we bopin? 🤣 Caught all the bars great reaction 👏 I’m English and I appreciate when you guys appreciate our music! I mean we always listen to yours so it’s only fair 😅
So you've asked a couple of times why Dave ,and other UK artists, have yet to break America. Having spoken to quite a few rap fans based over your side who I'm in rap forums with ..it seems that most say they struggle to understand the accent(s) and local jargon.... Also many have said because of the accent in particular it sounds weird to them and so they can't take it seriously... Rather short sighted me thinks...their loss!!
The accent might be legit, but US rap is also hard to decipher. All the new words & jargons they too use. “ I be” “ I can’t” “ cap/cappin” “ deadass” “finna tryna do”. IF there’s genuine interest in exploring new music they’ll give it a go. Yanks actually think “ they” speak English. US radio play isn’t all its trumped up to be, it’s 3 or 4 songs playing none stop. I pity them listeners, they can’t have a cultured ear. It’s damn near impossible.
Here's a list that would be a good starting point across a spread of UK artists . George the poet - mahogany sessions Little simz -. Future Utopia - Children of the Internet ft Dave. The most unheard of record, absolute masterpiece from Daves angle. You would be very happy you checked it out! Keep grinding!
U should checkout J Hus he is the top dog, the best artist in the country the most versatile, the most diverse I recommend his daily duppy and his last album Big Conspiracy, top top music
Yo KSO I became a fan of Dave because of you! Bro he's 🔥! Totally random but I would love see your break down on Bone thugs n Harmony- thuggish ruggish Bone! The flows on that are something else my dude!
I really need to see u react to akala fire in the booth pt 4 honestly think about how u felt about pt1 then add 10 years of experience and practice of his craft!!! The only way I can explain it is compressing all the emotions from 2pacs greatest hits (both cds) into 18 mins!!!
Mic Righteous fitb 1 to 4, in that order to see his development and growth. Insane one of my favs. Lowkey fitb 1 and 2 and any track ever made. These guys are both friends with Akala and are/were in a group. Lowkey inspired Akala to rap I believe. Also, they censor themselves a lot in the older fitb, lowkey has to censor himself a lot lol. Peace brother, just found your channel and its 🔥🔥
