The title bears no relation to the video content. Cardiff,Belfast are not in the top 10. Also the narrator (sounds AI) talks about sites/buildings which are then not shown or are the wrong visuals e.g. Showing a Cardiff shopping arcade whilst talking about St.David's? or showing Tower Bridge when talking about Belfast? These Learning Canteen Top 10 videos are really poor. As soon as I hear the voice I stop watching. You were good though Conor👍

Lincoln, York, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Liverpool, Derby, Carlisle, Norwich, Chester, Nottingham, Durham, Lichfield, Birmingham, Glasgow, Bristol, Aberdeen, Swansea, Portsmouth, Plymouth, Dundee, Lancaster, Wrexham, Gloucester and so many other cities that are either majority beautiful or have some few stunning buildings and parks to be classed as beautiful. The video you are reacting to, in my opinion, is rubbish - especially when it left out some of THE most beautiful cities in the UK. Thanks for the reactions Connor, keep them coming 😊

Kent is called the ‘Garden of England’ and has some gorgeous countryside and historic carvings. Hampshire is another gorgeous county with places like Stonehenge and Salisbury. Surrey is my favourite (born there) with the amount of woodland and cities like Camberley and Woking. To be honest, ‘best’ city is so subjective and there are some big towns that are just as gorgeous.

The company that produces these videos is nothing other than a joke. They take a place on the map, read a little about it, then gather a load of images to complete the video; however, every single one they cover is full of errors, misinformation and mispronunciation of names. The place towns in the wrong counties, show places that do not exist anywhere near the town/s in question, get the names of rivers wrong - you name it, and the information is false. As soon as I saw the company name I knew what was coming, and I was not wrong. So beware, you have been advised!!!

Mate I live in Birmingham it's horrible. I Don't know if you're one of those that attack people with "ist" or "phobe" insults but mass immigration from absolute nutters has destroyed the city. On a recent trip to Newcastle (that's amazing) walking through pigeon Park it was filled of asylum seekers smoking weed. Walked towards grand Central more gangs smoking weed , carried on walking and a Nigerian sounding man was screaming at Asian fruit and veg sellers for selling "west Indian fruit" that apparently is "voodoo fruit" knife crime is out of control. Its a horrible place to live and unrecognisable from 70s Birmingham. People denying the negative effects of mass immigration tend to live as far away from it as possible...

If you want to know some great places in Southern England.. It does get a little quieter in East Anglia in terms of things to do, but since the land does get a lot flatter in the south, the southern & eastern coast have some impressive sandy beaches especially in Norfolk, Suffolk & the North of Essex, Cornwall & the West Country. Norfolk also has a terrific river village called the Norfolk broads, where there are a lot of narrow boats & holiday homes. Essex is one of the oldest counties in England & Colchester has some medieval villages. Cambridge is also a great city in the East of England. In the south, Canterbury is a very under appreciated medieval city of pilgrimage & world heritage site in Kent. The seven sisters cliffs near Hastings & the Brighton Pavilion are my favorites in East Sussex. The South Downs national park & Arundel castle are my favorites in West Sussex. Also all of the AONBs..

I don't think you are wrong about the cities in East Anglia (Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk) but there are fewer cities in these counties than many others. (According to ChatGPT 4,2 and 3 respectively.) Unfortunately,' in my opinion, some of these might not be considered beautiful except for Norwich. I suggest you check out Norwich to see if you agree. Some of the street names are very interesting such as Rampant Horse Street. East Anglia is still quite rural. Check out the Norfolk Broads if you haven't already done so.

Wait - where's York in the list? Or London, for that matter... Those southeast counties have their own type of beauty. Kent, Sussex and Hampshire have lovely rolling countryside and stunning chalk cliffs, and Norfolk and northern Suffolk have a vast area of low-lying land dotted with waterways known as "the Broads". Birmingham is the UK's second-largest city. PS - Harvard 1636, Oxford 1096, so it's only older by half a millennium!

Could have used a rather more attractive selection of photos to illustrate the point here, I think! Another problem with this 'wide spectrum' approach (countryside, towns and cities, culture etc etc) is that it offers little chance to dwell upon and appreciate the individual _colours_ of your subject. Just a thought!

@paulharvey9149
@paulharvey9149 10 месяцев назад
That is a really strange list...! I can understand the desire to include a Northern Irish entry, but, Belfast? It has gained some intersting attractions in recent years, but beautiful, it is not! I have to say that, this channel drives me nuts, as there's absolutely no coordination between the script and the pictures - he tells you about one thing and shows you another, all the time! The Belfast thing also illustrates how poor the research is, as (London)Derry is the most beautiful walled city that is relatively little known, and I'd have thought the obvious Northern Irish city to feature on this video! Yes Connor, you have to come to Scotland, and allow us to show you all the best places - which aren't necessarily where all the tourist guides suggest. Plus, I'm fortunate enough to live in Edinburgh, so you could use my home as a base if you want to! I think I know what you're driving at regarding Southern England: most of the cities are fairly uniform. Part of the reason for this is that many were severely bombed during WW2 and there was an almost identikit post-war rebuilding model. Canterbury is included here, but you're right about the tour guides all neglecting Eastern England. Norwich is a very attractive cathedral city, as is Lincoln, Ely and the very historic Colchester, to name just a few. Bristol always tends to be overshadowed by Bath - yet they're only 12 miles apart and perfectly easy to do in two or three days, while the likes of Gloucester, Worcester, Hereford and Chester also tend to be neglected, which is a shame as, being off the main tourist tracks they are a lot less busy and more natural, if you get my drift. The other major omissions from this list are York, Durham, Winchester and Glasgow. And London, come to think of it! There are also many towns and places that aren't cities that are well worth visiting: Great Malvern, Colebrookdale, Matlock, Harrogate, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Blackpool, Dunblane and St Andrews all sporing to mind, for instance. Manchester is another place where beauty isn't the first quality that springs to mind. It's very interesting, for sure; and has a very modern central area - largely thanks to the I.R.A. actually; and there are some lovely parts in the suburbs - but compared to the likes of Edinburgh, Glasgow, York and London, there's a barely a tree comes into sight until you're two miles out into the suburbs.

It's like "Hey all you ignorant numpties who might feel dead ignorant in a University town, don't worry, we lock up all the academics in their Halls so they don't interfere with the cultural attractions." The fricken "cultural attractions" all came about BECAUSE it's a University town. Why would anyone think a place would be boring because of that? Way to go to keep on the old "Town & Gown" rivalry. I'm sorry if this sounds a little demented, but it was such a condescending assumption that people wouldn't want to go there because of the 'academic aura' . Ye gods!!!

I actually don't think this is a very good list.

I try to be patient, but I find the way this reviewer constantly becomes distracted by minutia and frequently digressess. I guess he is too observant and questioning. I suppose it's not always possible to research your subject beforehand.

Worst AI generated voice over I've ever heard. The script is laughable.

This is a terrible video. He shows a row of council houses with roadworks in Inverness. Cardiff looks pretty ordinary.

Look people are going to take this badly BUT....I live in Birmingham. And I hate luring Americans into a false idea of uk...British cities aren't generally charming. Crime rates are high. They're overpriced, many are unrecognisable as British Birmingham City centre is so filled with Muslims wearing a poppy or England shirt can get you attacked. I day this as an ex military man. (Blackwatch Scottish regiment) look lads DON'T lie , DON'T pretend all/most uk cities are like York or Newcastle. They are not. After a recent night out in Birmingham I couldn't find someone who talked English when trying to find a taxi , I then tried to ask in a local hotel, novetel I think...the barstaff couldn't speak English when I asked if they could order me a taxi. The non English doorstaff than hilariously become aggressive because I simply asked or a taxi number. ....charming?

You can say it lol Scotland is beautiful, with beautiful cities. I'm saying that as a Welsh guy living in Manchester!

Biggest city is London, 2nd is Birmingham, Manchester is 3rd. All beautiful. Am biased and say Manchester lol . FYI Manchester has more skyscrapers than any UK city outside London. With even more on the way.
@Benji567891
@Benji567891 10 месяцев назад
Technically it's London, Birminghan and then Leeds, but if you were to include Greater Manchester then it is the second biggest.
@wolfslair31
@wolfslair31 10 месяцев назад
@@Benji567891 Technically that's incorrect. Leeds is not the third biggest city in Britain. It's Manchester and that's excluding Greater Manchester
@Benji567891
@Benji567891 10 месяцев назад
@@wolfslair31 Nope Leeds has a larger population then Manchester. Leeds 792,525 Manchester 553,230 Manchester gets really screwed over by council borders, as places like Trafford and Salford are not counted as Manchester when they really should.
