So "sectioned" is a term that means being held in hospital against your will. Deprivation of Liberty. "Sectioned" usually refers to Section 2 of the Mental Health Act, and is a process whereby a team determines you need to be held. The team is made up of an approved mental health professional (AMHP) and two Doctors (often your GP and a Psychiatrist). It's a bastard of a process if you do actually have a family member in need of help, and often ends up including being arrested and held in a "place of safety", depending on the severity of the presentation. I'm a therapist here in the UK, and have also spent some time working in a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and unfortunately pretty severe Bi-Polar seems to run in my family.
Bristol is the largest city in SW England. It's middling & there are many far worse English cities, including Bradford, Hull, Nottingham, Birmingham & Leicester.
i almost feel like the jokes about uni are funnier because we imagine the situations they got into instead of seeing how someone else imagines them. like how we never see “gary and simon” in gavin and stacey
This episode has so many classic lines, "I suppose doing things you hate is the price you pay for avoiding loneliness". 😂😂😂 I also love, "I'm a normal, functioning human being and there's no way anyone can prove otherwise". 😂
I wouldn't worry, just people with a grudge (perceived or otherwise), or just simple trolling. Anyway, you get these sort of comments about pretty much EVERY city in the UK. The truth is they all have their great, and not so great aspects.
@@hooobbit6776 I've been to Bristol twice in my lifetime, and quite enjoyed it. Ah well, not to worry. I grew up in Manchester, which I hated, not because it was shit necessarily, but just by familiarity, and that feeling of being trapped somewhere. I escaped to the North East and now live in the Newcastle area - which plenty of people shit on, but I'm much happier here than I was in Manchester. It's all subjective in the end. Anyway - people shouldn't put people off from visiting places due to their own personal prejudices - especially when it involves potential tourists such as Brian and Callie, I'm absolutely sure they'd love it. If they came over here and somehow found themselves up here in the North East, I'd happily meet up with them and be a tour guide. But, now they've got other more important priorities going on, so not likely soon. :)
@@philrob1978 So we basically couldn't be further apart in England as im down near Plymouth. Bristol has always come across to me as somewhere that has more nice areas than shit ares compared to most cities. Your right a lot will be personal experience i still hear tourists saying how lovely Torquay is. Its a shit hole full of crackheads. But if you stay on the seafront it does look like a really nice town. Im sure they would love wherever they visited in the UK.
Lol, I’m from Bristol 😂 Very historic City, people visit for the Clifton Suspension Bridge, SS Great Britain etc. Don’t know why people advised you not to visit?
@@davidz3879 Exactly, even Notts and Glasgow are good for a night out you just need to steer clear of the rough parts, same could be said of Chicago or whatever. Don’t know why people were saying that lol.
Wtf that makes no sense whatsoever. Bristol has a reputation as being one of the best cities in the UK, and it's always highly spoken of. I lived there and it's a great place.
@@HarryDuBois616 I know people from Birmingham who say it is good, are you suggesting I should believe them? 😆. I have been to Bristol, it is fine, a pretty normal city. it is just people from there talk about it like it is Shrangri-La for some reason.
@@ROSER6410 Well I only lived there for a few months, so I was basically visiting, and only have good things to say about it. Also this comment section is full of people talking positively about Bristol by people who don't live there. I've never heard anything but positive things about the place, it's a fact that it has a positive reputation
Boomer I am pretty confident its not Bristol they want you to avoid, Bristol is beautiful so its confusing as to why someone would say that, I'm sure they got it mixed up with Birmingham. Do not go to Birmingham 🤣🤣🤣
Every city has nice and bad areas, I live in Cambridge which is generally nice but has shit dodgy areas and lived in Nottingham which some say can be rough, I loved it there found it mostly pleasant and friends who lived in Bristol loved it there
He threw up because it would mean ending everything, not because of the town Bristol, she could've said any town not near and he would've thrown up: its his anxious about everything thing (I've never been to Bristol by the way).....(and Nancy will be back...Did you know she played the main character in the American TV series version of Clueless?)
@@clemandax9242 I know what you mean i should have its just he said "what did they just throw that plotline away" and i couldn't help letting him know.
@@rlawrence9838 in that case you should have reminded him that at the end of s2 they say that the marriage is a complete husk, so it’s not implausible that in the time that’s obviously taken place she’s completely gone
@@clemandax9242 That episode didn't make it obvious they were over anyway but someone did already explain that..but in this episode KB was getting impression i think that J would just be with new woman everytime...theres still the surprise that BOTH J&M turn out to be practically (upper) middle-class..I mean none of us saw that coming lets face it🙂
I'm from London and went to Uni in Bristol. It's a brilliant city with lots of history, culture and has great nightlife. I don't know why you got such negative reviews because its honestly one of my favourite cities in the country.
Avoid Bristol? What the fuck? It’s one of the best cities in the U.K. if you have any culture and avoid the general bars and clubs , tonnes of great places to eat and drink and great music scene and galleries etc…people who say fuck it probably never been there , that happen a lot with Birmingham too-great city but people who’ve literally never been there joke about what a shit hole it is
Big Suze is Sophie Winkleman, who is also in Two & a half men playing Walden's girlfriend Zoey. In case you didn't notice or someone else gave it up in the comments earlier ).
Bristol is nice, Ive only been a few times though. But its one of the nicer cities. There are places such as Luton and Milton Keynes, avoid these places, but there is literally nothing there.
Not sure why people were shitting on Bristol!? I'm from Bristol and it's a great city! You just got to go to the right areas, but everyone I know who has visited Bristol has like it, so that's a bit strange but ah well. The Canadian bird is so mental! Love it 😂
KB Marks gf is a fantastic actor of note and has since won an Oscar. She is also a brilliant chat show guest because she's charming and funny 🥰 Her name is Olivia Colman, and the movie is called The Kings Favourite.
I don't think there's much wrong with Bristol (the riots are much less frequent than the media would have you believe) but I'm not sure I'd fly across the world to see it. You could just watch Teachers, Skins, The Outlaws, Starter for 10 and see it there.
AHA Baseball - is that you KING BOOMER piching in the poster in the backgroung? AHA2 - So you have seen Hot Fuzz - I do hope it comes to your YT channel soon. Thanks! (Brilliant film that is.)
With regards to Bristol, I wouldn't worry, just people with a grudge (perceived or otherwise), or just simple trolling. Anyway, you get these sort of comments about pretty much EVERY city in the UK. The truth is they all have their great, and not so great aspects. Great reaction as always, your face during the "phone sex" bit had me rolling! 😂
Super Hans: Look out the performance of "Jobseeker" by Sleaford Mods on Jools Holland and tell me that that isn't playing on a loop in the head of Super Hans.
Oi! Leave Bristol out of it! I resemble that comment... I used to live there. I've spent many happy minutes in it's salubrious environs, and converted slave quarters and I was only robbed, like, twice... three times if you count the party at Spuds house, but everyone knows all bets were off THAT night. #visitbristol
Bristol is lovely! Genuinely one of the coolest cities in the UK (I'm not from there so no bias!). I don't understand who these haters were. Probably people from around Bristol doing that British thing of mocking the people and places closest to you
I dont think Field of Dreams is a baseball movie. Its more like how Die Hard is a Christmas movie 😉, its the background. FOD is more about how baseball is the constant between these men and accomplishing their dreams. Its not the movie i would suggest to someone who doesn't know baseball. Major League, bad news bears, even Angels in the outfield 🤭
Sectioned basically means they're trying to get medical help and get her put into a mental health hospital because she's not well enough to get help for herself. ❤ XxXxX
Bristol is pretty alright really, used to go there for the nightlife back in the day. The accent takes some getting used to though, it must be that. Anyway another great reaction, love this show
I have an office job. It pays rather well but I still don’t like it. Too deep in now to change and start all over. The pay helps pursue other interests though.
Bristol is probably the best big city in the UK, banksy called it the mild mild west and I lived there for years and only had good times! Don't diss briss
