Dont forget our athletics team, from 100m sprints to 1000m distance running, to long and high jumps we will never forget the likes of Caster. And last but not least our Olympic gold medalist swim team.
As a Springbok Fan, yes we are good. But only because we play incredible teams like the All Blacks, Ireland, France, Argentina. We don't always win, but we always play with passion.
Our Argentine team is nicknamed "Los Pumas"/"The Pumas" although the animal in the shirt is a Yaguareté. Male Hockey team "Los Leones"/"The Lions" and the females hockey team is "Las Leonas"/"The Lionesses"
As a South African we are proud of our team, we can play excellent but we have our dark days, even Japan can attest to that. We are privileged to play against brilliant teams in both the Southern and Northern hemisphere.
@ David Fortuin. Mate, a famous German General ( Edwin Rommell - aka the Desert Fox ) who had the misfortune to encounter Saffas in the second world war in North Africa reportedly said "give me THREE South African divisions....and I will conquer the world. 😁 We are a peaceful lot,.....but if you step on our toes long enough, and often enough....😆😛
It's always interesting to see someone who doesn't have Rugby in their country watch it for the first time. This is what we as South Africans grow up with i can remember at the age of 6 going to rugby matches with my dad. I am so incredibly proud of the Springboks. This video just made me feel so much pride and joy. Also watching your face has brought me so much joy.
That's one truism. As a fan you can support your team in the midst of the oppostiion with lots of banter and no agro. Win or lose, the fans and teams take it like men. And after games and careers, these men (of men) have friendships with teammates and opposition for life. It's a fabulous game of pure sportsmanship, commeraderie and the best of humanity. Boks / ABs is unique in all the world.
@Cayleb Mladenovic @Cayleb Mladenovic yes we are superior to the all blacks . You need refs to beat south africa. You even stole from our players. Stand up an recognize
@@camischar3692 lmao stole from our players. What?? The boks are the only rugby team in the world to poison the other team too won a World Cup. The amount of arrogance is astounding especially since nothing you said made sense or is factually correct in any way.
I love rugby,so brutal at times. I played women's rugby in my youth. The group of players in a huddle is called a scrum. The game is so fast & exciting. Glad u liked it. I watched our local team every weekend, even helped with the meals for home team venues. Great times.loads of fun, loads of drinking. Great times.
To answer one of your questions, there are 15 players from each team on the field at one time (so 30 people on the pitch total). But the size of each squad is limited to 22 people and there are limits to how many substitutions you can make, so unlike American football, most of the team will play the entire duration of the match. Each match is 80 minutes total - 2 x40 minute halves with a 10 min break at halftime.
It truly is an epic sport. The 6 Nations competition is starting early Feb. SA is a remarkable team, making Irelands recent victory mean more to me. More Rugby please young man, I would watch that.
Expat South African now US citizen and I can tell you without a doubt we carry some big people genetics. Some say it's because the harsh conditions killed out all the weak genes the 'pioneers' endured in the mid 19th century. I'm 6ft4, 230 lbs and when I played rugby at University I was one of the 'small guys' on the field. Also we eat copious amounts of red meat 😂
Go Bokke hambani bafanabadala. They are so strong as the bUffalo s because they used to eat Maas and they work hard some of them are farm owners they work hard. Ziyajima lezi mfana konqamukintamo. We are Proud of you Guys👏👏👏👍
I am a die hard Springbok supporter! My respect for the New Zealand team is off the charts. If you get a chance, please watch Jonah Lomu, A legend and a true super hero😎
You were watching a clip of the South African national rugby team: THE SPRINGBOKS. The reason you have awesome teams, is because they have awesome opponents.
Rugby players watching NFL football be like, "awe that's cute they get to wear helmets, pads, and they even get breaks in between downs." To me, rugby is kinda like smashing football/soccer and wrestling into one sport.
I watched the Super Bowl Sunday this weekend and I immediately ordered myself a shirt that says “If Rugby was easy it would be called Football”. Might as well get ready for the Sevens 🤗🏉💪🇿🇦😂
These are the mighty Springboks from South Africa, my country, this was my sport, it sounds like you need someone to teach you the rules of the worlds toughest game, get hold of me.
Our young boys start from basically the age of 6 training and playing what we call tag rugby, this is to teach them the game. From about the age of 9 - 10 roughly they start playing the real game which involves tackling. SA is what we like to call a true Rugby nation. We take part other sports, but Rugby and Cricket are the biggest.
So exciting to watch... it's brutal, but there is nothing that can make us unite and our hearts swell with pride like a good day on the rugby field. It's in our blood, in our DNA...South African to the bone...Thank you for the reaction, we never get bored watching re-runs, especially when we are good.. when we lose, it's very personal....lol 🙂
There’s so much more to the game than just running the ball from one end to the other 😂 Once you cross the try line, it’s not automatically points awarded. You have to have control of the ball and place the ball down with downward pressure with your hands.
Yay! Thanks for the reaction and your positive attitude that you always make your content with. Proudly South African 🇿🇦 You should watch the "TillI collapse" rugby video..that shows you bigger hits 😉 when they are all interlocked it's called a "scrum"
Yes mate, react to more rugby, you will not regret it. And yes you did only react to one team haha but they were South Africa and as a South African I am not complaining about that.
The best part was when you said you have been played🤣 Rugby is a whole different beast! Someone lower down in the comments said that we are only this good because of the teams we play agains and I 110% agree with that! The whole world of rugby is insane not just South Africa, alot of excellent players out there! The Irish are a machine and you gotta give it to France they have come a long way in the last couple of years! See you all in France later this year for the World Cup 💜🇿🇦
awesome reaction bro. rugby is an amazing skilful game. it looks tough but 90% of rugby is brains. would enjoy seeing you do more. enjoy the beautiful game we love
Back in the 1970's the British Lions were touring South Africa. Knowing that a South African was going to punch one of them they developed the 99 call. Basically, the moment a South African dud the dirty with fist or boot, the call "99" was made. It was then the job of every British Lions player to punch the nearest South African. Brutal.
When they interlock their arms and bodies together, going against the other team it's called a scrum. And normally its about strength and stability. So the ball is place in the center of the scrum and the teams try and move the ball out
Soccer is hooligans playing a gentle man's game, rugby is gentlemen playing a hooligans game. All rugby players have such a gentle character outside the game, iys awesome 🙏🏼🌺🌹🌺🙏🏼
Yup our Springboks are tough! Saw another channel where an American host could not believe how our rugby players don't wear padding or protective gear like the American football players. The direct hits their bodies take by just wearing a simple shirt and shorts is admirable (yet dangerous). Kudos to the Springboks for coming so far with so many victories. 💖💖💐💐👏👏👏
You need to watch the Cheslin Kolbe tribute (The Ultimate Athlete | Is Cheslin Kolbe The Best Rugby Player In The World?). If you appreciate dukes and side steps - he's the one. Great video! Thank you from all Springbok supporters
Its not that our team should be the most feared. The springboks has the most amount of passion i have ever seen, and yes it sometimes gets aggresive but a match isnt a match without their energy. Also growing up, you get taught to tackle so hard that the other team would fear you or "never want to pick up the ball again". Its brutal to some but normal to us. Another thing, rugby is what brings us together. Its almost like our culture, for example braai (like a barbecue)
@@ascobelgaming True! 😂😂 I just explained it like "barbecuing" because they wouldnt know what the hell a braai is Ive seen people barbecue though, and it makes me wonder how they funtion like that 😂😂
Whatsup man. The team in green is South Africa, a.k.a. the Springboks. Give rugby a go man, it is wild. We are the current World Champions at the moment.
So the smallest guys on our team (Springboks South Africa) are the wings. They are the speedsters in the team, around 1.71m (5.6ft) tall (Cheslin Kolbe, Kurt-Lee Arendse). The tallest guys are around 2.08m (6.8ft) tall (RG Snyman, Eben Etzebeth).
Love from South Africa. When tackled by a rugby player, you will know it happened, it f...hurts. potential no play for a few weeks. These rugby players are breed differently , regardless the country they are representing.
4:40 This is called a Rolling Maul. It usually takes place close to the try line & after a line out. The player with the ball is surrounded by teammates with the player with the ball at the back. This helps a team to try & push through the opposition & score a try. Players can not join a maul at the side. The opposition can try to build a similar mail up against the opposition’s rolling maul to try to stop them moving forward. But their mails are smaller. They can also have a penalty against them for intentionally collapsing a maul. The best analogy I can think of is the try line is the enemy’s front door & the rolling mail of the opponent is like a battering ram. If the get through the door & ground the ball on or over the frame of the door/try line you score a try which awards 5 points. The team can score an extra two points in a conversion by kicking the ball through the posts.
Try = 5 points Conversion = 2 Points Penalty (ball kicked from the spot the penalty happened & kicked through the posts) = 3 points Drop goal = 3 points
Those are our dutchmen, the best you can find. I'm just waiting till someone makes a football/soccer team comprising only of them. Superbets would pay 👆
@officialcammmreacts Welcome to Rugby Union! The green team in this video are Springboks (Springbokke) from South Africa and they are the current World champions. Black jerseys are the All Black (Kiwis) goats in the rugby world. The red jerseys are Wales from Europa and tuff team to take on. Wales +Ireland + England and Scotland makes a combined team called the British and Irish Lions than the 2nd most difficult team to beat. British and Irish Lions tour every 4 years in between World cup years. Not in this video are France and Ireland whom are ranked #1 and #2
I went to an all girls school and they let us play rugby. Loved it but then I got very sick and I haven’t been doing much of that now. It’s been about 15years now….damn
