Adidas - we say it pretty close to the German way but with an Aussie accent lol. It's named after the German founder - Adi Dassler. Nike is a US brand so yeah it's Ny-key. Brits pronounce it nyk (rhyming with Mike). They are trained to use it as a last resort, there's strict rules around their use.

Unbeknown to eshays, the rest of Australia is laughing at them 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 If my teen son walks out in anything resembling eshay gear, we all pipe up with; “ESHAYYY”!! He wonders back to his room & changes…as he should lol

Ad-ee-das is the way it was always said on ads over here. I think I've heard ah-dee-das American ads but it's always the other way here

Adidas is German, adi dasler owned adidas and his brother Rudolph owned the company that turned into puma.. both brothers hated each other

That is true but we all go through our stupid phases. Hopefully some of these guys and gals realize this is just a stupid phase. Early '90s I wanted to be at West Coast rapper living in Tennessee. Didn't make a whole lot of sense. Baggy jeans huge shirts NWA all over the place. It was amusing to say the least.
