1. There are no parasites in Mett. We have sanitary inspections. You can also make it with beef. We also do that in The Netherlands and Belgium, it's then called Filet Americaine. 2. All ages go Frühschoppen, also called early morning drinking on Sundays after church. 3. Roll your own cigarettes? Yes, we also do that in The Netherlands. While driving on vacation to some European country my wife would roll cigarettes. 4. Man, don't American teens make out?????

Not only in Bavaria, my uncle is from northern Germany, and when asked if he wanted a sandwich the standard reply was: nah, i'll have a wet sandwich. And then he popped a beer😂

1. all meat must be checked for disease and parasite infestation after slaughter and before further processing. This in turn is monitored by local state authorities. 2. minced meat is a strictly regulated foodstuff. Refrigeration is strictly prescribed and it must be consumed within one day. Supermarkets sell packaged minced meat in a protective atmosphere. This can be kept for a few days longer if the packaging is intact and refrigerated. Of course, you can also touch the minced meat with your hands... if you have washed them well beforehand, just like you do when you knead a cake or bread dough with your hands. Or how you generally do it when preparing or serving food... The following applies to Germany: raw minced pork as a topping for bread and rolls has been known since 1903 from Berlin's gastronomy, because refrigerators had become established in gastronomy at that time. Before that, it was only processed into sausage. Here it is called Hackepeter.

In France, Belgium and the Netherlands we eat something similar but with raw beef instead of pork, it's called prépare or (in the Netherlands) filet Americain😂. So you can't eat this Charlie, it would be pure cannibalism

The sauna thing is the same in the Netherlands, when it's not, it is called a bathing suit day (but it can vary from sauna to sauna). The raw pork, not so much in the Netherlands., cured pork, yes, like kinds of ham, but not raw. Raw fish, yes of course. Kissing people, yeah that happens, sex in public is quite illegal, you can be fined, I have not seen it here, but I have found condoms on parking lots of course, (yuk). Get a room! :)

Funny. Do you always go swimming in a diving suit with chain mail over it? - And no, nobody is forced to swim naked, but it is expressly permitted in certain areas, otherwise not! However, anyone who goes swimming there in swimming trunks/swimsuit is quickly suspected of being a voyeurist.

A lot of people in Belgium roll their own cigarettes too because it is a lot cheaper. When I still smoked I never put a filter in my self rolled cigarettes though. And of the people I know who still smoke they don't use filters either. We also eat raw meat here but more beef than pork. There's definitely no parasites or diseases in our raw meat. In all my 51 years I never heard anyone getting sick of eating it.

Well a lot of stuff is pretty much the same in The Netherlands (and other European countries). Naked in a sauna has to do with hygiene. Eating raw pork isn't an issue because it has to follow very strict regulations about quality.. I always buy them in Germany and they are delicious. The fish isn't exactly raw (they are pickled), we called them rolmops, and they are very common in Scandinavia too. True Germany has a beer culture, but don't expect that all the Germans are drinking at nine o' clock at a regular basis. Rolling our own cigarettes, well most of the dutchies are doing that too and I've never seen someone who is putting a filter in it. Rolling them yourself is part of the experience and quiite a bunch doesn't like tthe filter. BTW the brand they were showing in this video is a Dutch one :) A lot of dutchies who are living not far from the German border are buying it in Germany.

@@SideWalkAstronomyNetherlands Ik woon al een tijdje niet in NL, en File Americain is idd beef, maar was het welbekende 'Broodje tartaar' niet wel altijd varkensvlees net als in Duitsland? Je kan het verschil zien aan de kleur en 20 jaar terug was het altijd varken volgens mij, en dat was ook veel lekkerder. (Gebakken vind ik beef dan weer lekkerder.) Als ik er nu op google zie ik enkel dat rood vlees, maar zo ben ik het niet gewend van vroeger.

I can understand that with raw pork. We grow up with it in Germany. By the time you realize what you're eating, it's too late. 😁 I already knew what “Mett” was, but I had this look, as at 4:52, when I made it myself for the first time as part of my training. “Thüringer Mett”, as it is called in my region, is ready to eat and contains 20 grams of salt and 3 grams of pepper per kilogram. And nothing else*. So it's very easy to make yourself. I always add a little extra pepper on top. Onions are also a must. And as many have already mentioned, it's absolutely safe. * However, there are also recipes on the internet with nutmeg, marjoram, caraway and egg yolk. 🤔

Hmm, raw meat. I liked it as a child, it was better than chocolate. Pork and beef are delicious, even with lemon,salt and pepper.Raw veal has no taste. I`m 67 years old and still alive.😁

Clothing in a Sauna, steam room or hot tube a s swimming pool is totally unhygienic. If I'm right swimming costumes weren't allowed in ALL YMCAs untill the mid 70's.

German here.... raw pork on a bread roll, aka "Mettbrötchen" is delicious! There is just one rule, eat it while it´s fresh. Maximum 1 day old Mett. If it´s 2 days, I´d hesitate to eat it, 3 days, no way! About the beer, I know a similar quote.... "Kein Bier vor Vier!"... "No beer before four!"... It doesnt specify if it´s vormittags (=4 AM), or nachmittags (=4 PM), so a beer is fine at any time of the day 😀 Also: Damn, Silas Nacita feels like ages ago... I watched him for a while, but at some point most of his videos were with him proselytizing. To a level when it became utterly annoying, so I unfollowed. Conner went into the same direction, not as hard as Silas, but I havnt watched his content for years too.

I roll my cigarettes because they don't stink as much as the others. I think it's because the paper is different, especially that cold smoke in my clothes is much less sharp.

These guys are obnoxious. You see them singing loudly in the street. People who do that in Europe are thought to be drunk or crazy. But like most Ameticans, they seem to have been living under a red, white, and blue flag with stars on it. In Germany, if you go to a lake there will be nude people around, young and old. Even in California there are unofficial nude beaches. Where are they from?

Hmmja making out in public really is nothing to get worried about, but if the kissers stick their tongue that far into the other kissers head that the pointy points of the first kisser's tongue start to come out of the ears of the second kisser, then you have a reason to worry....Hahahaha. You don't need to be afraid that an animal will bite you in Europe.... the animals are very friendly in Europe, we have very few animals here that want to or can harm you. Just like in Australia, where practically every animal wants to kill you ;)

im not americaniced, i DID try the mett brötchen...and i cannot recommend it. it was horrible...but i think the raw onion was worse than the raw beef, the raw beef by itself might be fine, im not sure too scared to try again now :P

I think after the age of 12, you should be able to train your palate to eat raw onion, otherwise you get really stuck in the world's dishes.
