I live about 3km as the crow flies from the MHP Arena in Stuttgart and I can only tell you that the fans are louder than an AC/DC concert... even if I'm not there in person at the home game, I can still watch them from my balcony VfB fans sing along. During the Euros, Dortmund had over 80,000 fans from the Netherlands marching from downtown towards the stadium in an organized fan march. The 40,000 or so Turkish fans didn't organize themselves, but were no less vocal. 🙂 Heja BVB!
The police are just always present to avoid problems with their opponents and everything usually goes well. The German police don't show off like the Americans.

The last team was VFB Stuttgart. Every year at the start of the season all the fans gather at the train station and walk together to the stadium. Today this caravan started again and I will go. VFB forever🤍❤️🤍❤️.
Our stadiums can easily hold 80,000 people. Many travel on special trains that only run for the football matches. Since the stadiums are rarely right next to the train station, all the people have to walk through the cities. And you don't mess with the riot police. They are tough guys. And we have tens of thousands of them.

They usually came with tens of thousands of fans, on the day of the first match the number of Scottish fans in Munich was estimated as somewhere between 100 000 and 200 000 - about 2% or 3% of the whole population of Scotland. Usually soccer Fanclubs are harmless, but there are groups (called Ultras) who are extremely violent and don't shy away from severe battery to their opponent fan clubs. There's always police around, sometimes even special units, to check ntrol potential outbreaks of violence. Some fanclubs have a notorious reputation for their aggression, i. e. Dynamo Dresden.
Come on you are smarter then this... When the club logo is in the top left, putting yourself maybe in the top right and not blocking it sounds like a smart move doesn't it?
First of all, there is a huge difference between Ultras and Hooligans. Second, those right-winged groups are a small minority nearly everywhere in Germany. Some clubs like Dortmund or Rostock have problems with right-winged fans. But you have many clubs where the Ultras are non-political in terms of left-right. And you have Ultra groups like the Schickeria Munich, who brought the memory of the Jewish club president Kurt Landauer, who had to flee from the Nazis, into the club's consciousness in the first place.

Je nachdem wo du dich einfach in den Block stellen würdest, ist es jedenfalls nicht grade ungefährlich. Stell mich mal bei Dynamo Dresden einfach in den Block rein, versprochen, nach 5-10 Minuten fragt dich jemand, wer du bist und warum du da stehst, da lebt man schon als "Wessi" gefährlich, eigene Erfahrung, nach einigen Jahren groundhopping, du musst wissen, wo du willkommen bist, das geht definitiv nicht bei jeden Ultras.
