It used to be like thousands of kilometres long and now it just +- 300 kilometres long as every other championship rounds. It’s the rule we have now which many fans dislikes. The rally has rich history too in WRC level. Its glory days were during the 70-90s. It was like 20 years gone, but came back in 2021. Not the original anymore, just shorter. So it used to be a marathon, now it’s like a sprint like any other event nowadays. Still the uniqueness hasn’t really gone nowhere. Every driver wants to win there, because it’s demanding and tough. The roads they drive on are usually not even proper roads where they drive in the Kenya, Africa. If you want to win there, you just can’t go flat out to every corner. You need to use your head if you want to be successful. There are few of the reasons why this is so special.

I went to Kenya on safari years ago. It's incredibly dusty...and when it rains it's incredibly slimy mud. Great vacation spot though.
