Contrary to popular belief, it is very rare to be attacked by a wolf and even more rare to be fatally injured/killed by one. 🇨🇦 🪿 I'm a Canadian, born and raised. And I've got to say "I've never seen Canadian geese be aggressive unless someone got to close to their nest or babies", but I also believe that they are different in towns or cities then they are in the country (rural-farms) 🤔 I had 3 mating pairs that came back every year to my farm and nested there. I could even go out and take feed to the them. The one mama goose 🪿 would even eat feed from my hand. The ganders were a bit more skeptical of me and I got hissed at a couple of times by 2 of the ganders but I WAS really close to the nest 🪺 he was sitting on. I think they are beautiful birds and such good parents. The gander will sit on the nest to give Mama goose a break. And geese usually mate for life. The one Mama goose that was the most friendly, would even let me interact with her goslings after they were about 2-3 weeks old. I have pictures that I wish I could show you. We had domestic geese that we raised for years and they were DEFINITELY AGGRESSIVE but I've never had any issues with Canadian geese.

@@silenazoejackson3712Can confirm when I grew up in Ontario schools, we were taught Metropolitan French, even in Northern Ontario where Québecois is natively spoken. This made it possible to understand French as spoken in France, but very difficult to follow French as spoken in Canada. Fortunately I heard my mother’s large French Canadian family speaking “real French” growing up, so I was familiar with the clipped words and different nouns and, of course, swear words and slang, but to this day I still understand French speakers from France better than my fellow Francophones, and can only attempt a Metropolitan accent when I speak despite my background. The French language curriculum for Ontario students was a pathetic failure - eight to ten years of conjugating verbs and memorizing vocabulary and you still couldn’t order a double-double at a Timmies in Montréal without the order taker switching to English? I learned enough German in high school in one year to be conversational, and enough to read Goethe or science journals in two. Disgraceful waste of human potential - most students wanted to learn, but the programme seemed to be designed to fail. Two of my children attended immersion schools and both became fluent, in Québecois. My other two children struggled with immersion a bit, so ended up in unilingual schools with French classes. They had trouble keeping up with both languages and before they fell too far behind the were switched out. Immersion is the way to go if you can do it, but better instruction methods later on can be very effective too.

I’ve lived in Costa Rica for 24 yrs. A few years ago I visited my family in Ontario at Christmas. I did not have proper footwear with good tread and soon ended up crawling on my knees like the guy in the video along an icy sidewalk to safety. I immediately made my way to the mall to buy a pair of Sorels.

I've discovered the people in the United States are very friendly, welcoming and curious. This includes both the Northern and Southern States. In NY City I found people very helpful and go out of their way to learn about where I'm from, and in the South Louisiana and such, they were welcoming and curious. Kind in both areas.

And Tyler, for the French one: Imagine suddenly being somewhere _deep_ in Appalachia, where the accent's so thick you can't quite understand it unless you're super paying attention or they slow down for your benefit. That's where Quebecois was in relation to Parisian French 400 years ago. So the Frenchman is thinking, "it _almost_ sounds like French, but what the HELL is she saying?" There's some other stereotypes baked in here too. The Appalachian allegory works here again, just imagine the Frenchman is some well-to-do New York socialite and you've got that exact same package of sneering down at the 'uneducated'.

to be correct, the French in Quebec is the French that was spoken by the king at the time the Settlers came here, but after the revolution, France decided to change most of the language, but because we were isolated and France had abandoned us, we did not continue on the same French, just look at the Acadians, they speak a complete different French than Quebec, they were also isolated for hundred years, and move to Louisiana, where the French there was the same as in Quebec at the time, but very different now, language evolve by the surrounding, I have to say that in Quebec generally the French is getting a lot more like France in the last 30 years and that Girls is an exception, any Quebecer would look at her the same way that French guy looked at her and wondering if she ever travelled out of the wood where she live.

I think he's come a long way since he started 👏 and has learned a fair amount about Canada 🇨🇦 and seems to have enough respect for us and our nation that I believe he's earned an honorary 🏅 spot amongst us Canadians. I'd say yes! I think Tyler should take a trip across Canada and have a stay with at least one of his Canadian RU-vid fans from each province host him and take him around their town or area and expose him to our cultural events, music, socializing, food ect. Vlog it while he travels and the YT revenue would help to cover expenses. I am in New Brunswick and I volunteer to be the host in my province if Tyler comes here.

Starting before Halloween, I buddy of mine moved to West Virginia within like an hour drive to DC and the Potomac River. We have Canadian Geese who return yearly to our dugout to lay their eggs and raise their young. For years, I have never threatened them in any way, often throwing corn and greens out to them, yet they'll charge if you get too close. They don't attack me anymore, but still hiss and do a fake charge. Cobra Chickens at their finest! Babies are adorable though.

Québecois here to translate 13:30 . My guess is it's the audio of a girl who got dumped and does not like the excuse she was given. Frenchman just arrived at the airport. "Stop repeating all the same f*****g bull**** excuses! That you felt attached to quickly! What FFFU***NG difference would it have been if we were together 2 months or 3 months?!" French and quebec french is basically UK english to american english. Same thing apart for the accent and a few words here and there not having the same meaning. But when we're mad, no one but ourselves understand us. XD

Why are Canadian Geese like that? It's a beer-fueled defense mechanism. Picture this: Scene: In a clearing in the Canadian wilderness. An Australian Emu, and a Canada Goose are having a conversation over many beers. The Canada Goose is visibly tipsy, with a dozen empty beer cans nearby. Emu: Mate, I've been hearin' a few things about you Canadian Geese. What's with the reputation? Canada Goose: (takes a swig from a half empty beer can) Well, let me tell ya buddy, it's a bit of a kerfuffle, eh? Emu: (chuckles) Kerfuffle, you say? Sounds like you've been gettin' a rough go of it. Canada Goose: You got that right, "mate". Always gettin' compared to them "Bold Egos" down south and whatnot. Emu: Bold ego, huh? They do seem to strut around like they own the place. Canada Goose: (Slurring slightly) 'xactly! And here we are, just tryin' to get by and not be called assholes all the time. Emu: Fair shake of the sauce bottle. But what's this about "hold my beer"? Canada Goose: (laughs) Ah, yeah. When I say "hold my beer," I mean we're about to do something inspired by that beer, and not that yellow water they call "beer" down there. Emu: Yellow water? Crikey, that's no good. Canada Goose: No mate, it's not. We Canadians know our brews, let me tell ya. Emu: So you reckon Canadian beer is the real deal? Canada Goose: (Finishes his beer and tosses the can with the others) You bet your feathers on it, Real beer, none of that watered-down stuff. You know they say American beer is like sex in a canoe, right? Emu: Oh yeah? Canada Goose: Yeah, mate, it's f*ckin' as close to water as you can get. Emu: Absolutely, mate. Cheers to that. Canada Goose: Cheers, mate. Now, where's my next brew?

I’ve walked up a 45 degree incline/decline up a lengthy valley slope a couple times as my car couldn’t… it was ridiculous but I ended up having to do a sort of sideways crab walk, hands on the icy sidewalk and feet in the deep snow and dirt on the side of the pavement. It worked but wow was I beat after making the summit. Also my hands were wrecked from the sharp icy frozen footprints and I looked like a maniac doing it but. There was literally no other way to get up the hill to work. The way down was no picnic either. Fun. Lol
