I love German satire - no one is left out or spared

Not Donald, but his grandfather Friedrich was a German (from the Palatinate region, which was at the time of his birth in 1869 a part of the Bavarian kingdom). His parents had a vineyard, but since his mother thought Friedrich to weak for the work there, he was send at the age of 14 to the town of Frankenthal to become a hairdresser. After he had finished his apprenticeship he decided to follow his older sister to New York. Since he was not happy with the income he got as hairdresser, so he moved to Seattle and took over - funded by relatives - a small restaurant in the red-light district. Later he registered a claim in the emerging mining town of Monte Cristo and used it (illegally) to erect a boardinghouse. Later he became wealthy with a restaurant at Lake Bennett near the Yukon river, where he also rented out rooms to prostitutes. Afterwards he returned to Kallstadt in Germany and married the daughter of a neighbor of his family. But as he tried to get the Bavarian citizenship back he was rejected because he had avoided conscription by his emigration, and in 1907 he was expelled. So he returned to New York and started dealing in real estate.
