8:40 That game was played the day after the 75th anniversary of the start of the Warsaw uprising. Every year August 1 several cities, since it's now a national holiday, stop for one minute at 5 pm. Air raid sirens sounds, cars blare their horns, emergency vehicles turn on their sirens, motorbikes rush their engines and flares are lit. This was to commemorate the 75th anniversary, but as it was in a Champions League qualification arranged by the corrupt UEFA, The European Football Association Legia was fined, and that's what the second tifo with the pig is about. UEFA mafia. Warszawo walcz✊

Usually if there a seperated section in the stadium its to stop fans jumping over and fighting rival fans. The fire you are seeing is burning flares. The warsaw one the image of the solidier and kid is attached to the roof and raised up. Yes its a huge flag covering the crowd its a protest about their fine received by UEFA the governing body of European football.

English fans always say "we don't have because it not allowed" Is it allowed anywhere ? Not Poland, Germany Italy...Definitely not in Croatia, but its not part of culture in England like it is for 50+yrs in Southern Europe - You also don't have ultras, that is OK but when they show videos "Europe v America" it doesn't include English fans as they are more like American style now. We watched football in England & enjoyed it, I don't say our fans are better, just different & Leeds one of best. Hope you are back in top division soon. Torcida1950 Hajduk Splita

At 8:00: Legia Warsaw ultras remembering the warsaw uprising in 1944. "The uprising was timed to coincide with the retreat of the German forces from Poland ahead of the Soviet advance. While approaching the eastern suburbs of the city, the Red Army halted combat operations, enabling the Germans to regroup and defeat the Polish resistance and to destroy the city in retaliation" (see wikipedia). Between 200.000 to 250.000 Poles - the majority of those were civilians - were killed by Germans during the uprising. Poland suffered the most under WWII. 16% of its Population was killed.

Worst Take EVER for comment ever about the Anniversary tribute to their dead. The 1944 on the Red and White Poland flag is created by everyone in those individual seats holding up a specific card placed on that seat before the match - when held up on mass it shows the display - this technique is used across the world for different things and in no way is any of that for intimidation but rememberence

I disagree, honestly i will even understand fans fighting each others because of game etc it is stupid yes but still they are fans etc. But shit like that is pathetic because of two reason: 1)Sport isn't a place for politics 2)Crying about something that happened over 70 years ago (and yes crying we should remember be better and learn from it but this isn't remembering this is straight up crying) is pathetic (not to mention historical fact that entire thing was unnessecary and stupid, there is even saying Czechs have Prague, Poles have Honor)

In the USA, they believe that the Super Bowl is the best sporting event in the world, and what a great atmosphere there is. I admit that it is really interesting and spectacular, but it is nowhere near a European football match. In the USA, it's all about the money and the show. European football, on the other hand, is about a sense of belonging and respect for teams.

Thanks for listening JJ:) Football was voted the most popular sport, recently, in all 55 European Countries. I have been to 1,770 matches in London and am in my 7th decade of attending. To explain. The first Glasgow Celtic song was "You'll Never Walk Alone" then The Napoli, Italian fans were Away from home and kept back for an hour so you saw after the game when all the Home fans had departed hence the empty seats. The empty seats next to the Leeds, England fans were deliberately empty to create a space between rival fans. In many countries there is a 99% Male crowd hence the intensity and even where they are Females in the Stadium ,then it is only a small percentage:)

Sadly, English fans have become much more sanitized after making our stadiums all-seater around 30 years ago after The Hillsborough Football disaster. They are, gradually,re=introducing "Safe Standing" which will improve the atmosphere although it will never be what it was. There is a 3-minute video from 1964 called " Liverpool F C-The Kop Crowd" with 28,000 singing and swaying behind the home goal which shows how it used to be in England.

5:11 what you're looking at is the away section of the stadium. The fire is obviously illegal (mostly), but the flags are usually approved by the clubs. The reason the seats around it are empty is because for some high risk matches they keep a perimeter of empty seats around the away section to help prevent fights between the supporter groups.

Empty seats are normal between home and away fans it's a police thing..most away teams sell out in the prem but the police make sure there's an empty section between home and away fans, the juventus one (top tier) are the away fans and obviously won, the Ajax one is I think we (Tottenham ENG) silenced them and sent them home crying when we beat them in the champions league semi final ... theres an awful lot of intimidation and aggro between fans in Europe so at some games the police will keep away fans behind... in the big games in England police march the away fans to the ground to prevent violence, there can be depending on size of the ground upto 4,000 away fans

The best Football fans are the ones that turn up week in week out to watch teams that have no hope in hell of winning anything ever.

Before you get too carried away at the sight of flares it's important to note there's a difference between football fans and ultras. Ultras are political fascists masquerading as football fans trying to recruit the disaffected and polarised to their racist cause. You'll notice real fans are sporting team colours while the ultras in the video are wearing the historic 'blackshirts' of the fascist movement. This is mainly an Italian and Eastern European problem, Britain and Western Europe dealt with them in the 70's and 80's and kicked them out of football grounds. The Hungarian national team was made to play matches without fans after ultras racist chanting and mass object throwing towards England's black players during an international last year.

You just nailed it! Its sad but still exists. They are not the best football fans, they are the worst. There are still people dying before and after the games. Didnt you notice the SS Lazio ultras doing the roman salute? I think most U.S. people dont get it. Dont mistake passion for violence, hatred and rivalry. You guys have street gangs, we have ultras and hooligans. What do you think ultras stand for...? Ultra violence, ultra nationalism, huge fights before and after the games, police charges, rioting.... Sports should be about fair play and respect.

@@a.laroze4638 Thanks. I already see ultras using the comment section to encourage him to watch more of their videos. They're trying to recruit him ! What reactors don't realise is that when they react to ultra videos and the original video gets banned, the ultra recruiters can still piggyback off the reactor's video to propagate their hate speech, violence and recruitment. Don't go down the rabbit hole JJ

First of all about the empty seats ive seen a few mention it in the comments its about safety between rival fans, Some teams play in stadiums that have 10.000 seats but only 3.000 watches the game as its a small town or city. The flares and bangers are always used in the ultras section of the stadium and families or neutral fans are usually no where near that so no one should be afraid to visit a game. In sweden in our local derbies we have empty spaces around the away fans so it wont be any fighting or stuff like that. In Argentina away fans arent allowed to come watch the games. Im not 100 percent sure if its all clubs in Argentina but atleast during the Boca - River derby there are only fans to the hometeam in the stadium.

It's not fire, it's flares, same kind of flares they use when on boats. Also almost every club uses flares or as you call "fire", but only in certain games. They are not allowed to bring those in, but they sneak them in the stadium

OMG it is NOT FIRE, these are flares ( fire works) obviously... you are baffled by our european passion and pride, I guess school shootings are more common in america than freedom of expression 🤷‍♂️ ( I dont mean to be rude, but I am just amazed who you seem confused 🤷‍♂️) In Europe each club/team represents the city and the fans represent their city, this is a way of showing pride and support,

The empty seats are absolutely normal for big games and rival games, You want rival fans as far apart as possible, It makes policing much easier, Losing $100,000 on tickets is better than having $1,000,000 to spend on repairs and fines. In europe if there is any violence, Clubs get fined.

It is flares not fire. In football stadiums there is a gap between the home and away fans. Legia Warsaw are remembering The Warsaw uprising. There are no balconies at at a football stadium only the upper tier of the stands. There is no need for cheerleaders or dancers at a football match.

Ya, the Turks and Greeks tend to have the most intimidating-looking crowds. I don't really like the flares myself and you won't see them at Premier League (England) games, because they are banned. I am also not very into making it seem like a warzone. I'm an Irish football fan and we tend to prefer to have a good time. II much prefer anthems and shows of character over this other stuff. Still, it is interesting from a distance :P
