American style coffee and European style coffee are both called coffee but many people in Europe when it thinks about American coffee the thought is that it's more like brown water than actual coffee. Concentration is very different.

This is only half true because the increased heart rate is not only dependent on this but also on additional factors such as stress, anxiety or physiological conditions and in fact the toxin himself, the alkaloid caffeine is a toxin. The idea that espresso is particularly rich in caffeine is a misconception - or at least half a misconception. In fact, a cup of mocha often contains less caffeine than a cup of filter coffee, for example. However, this is mainly due to the fact that espresso is served in smaller quantities than other coffee preparations. This is how much caffeine you can expect in espresso According to the German Coffee Association, a typical espresso served at the bar (35 ml) contains between 35 and 100 mg of caffeine. A cup of filter coffee (200 ml) contains 60 to 130 mg of caffeine. On average, a cup of espresso contains around 70 mg of caffeine, filter coffee around 95 mg. Normally you use about 7 grams of coffee powder for a cup of coffee and 10 grams for an espresso. Now add the amount of water to the espresso so that you have a regular cup of coffee and look and behold, you have less caffeine in comparison The US Department of Agriculture also calculates around 70 mg for a cup of espresso (35 ml) in its database; according to a Scottish laboratory study from 2012, Starbucks adds around 50 mg of caffeine to a mocha (27 ml); another privately commissioned laboratory measured between 50 and 70 mg of caffeine per typical espresso serving (25 to 30 ml) in 2019; coffee manufacturer Tchibo, on the other hand, states 35 to 40 mg of caffeine per cup on its website for espressos. How strong or how much caffeine a coffee contains, regardless of the type, depends on how long the water has contact with the coffee during brewing and on the type of coffee/plant. In general, it can be said that the alkaloid is a toxin that acts on the heart. An overdose of alkaloids usually results in characteristic symptoms of poisoning; many representatives are highly toxic. Effects in the central and peripheral nervous system with convulsions or paralysis are common. In addition, some alkaloids have psychotropic effects in appropriate doses and can be abused as intoxicants (often with addictive potential), for example cocaine, scopolamine, opioids such as morphine and heroin as well as nicotine and caffeine.

re coffee Starbucks stuff is more like a coffee shake. Coffee he showed in the vid can essentially the same amount of coffee, but not diluted by water/milk/sugar. In many places you will get an extra small water to it. It's like this in Europe, Middle East, Maghreb or latin america as well iirc. ~200ml cup (standard mug) is a big coffee. When ordering espresso like the one in the vid don't be misled by the size - some of them can give a big kick.

Portuguese half German here. Sorry to say this but US coffee is a cocktail or a soft drink here, or in my moms words "The water that is left after you washed the coffee cup". Coffee as to be dark as the night, bitter as life, and hot as hell, in my grandmas words, coffee is coffee here, not ideas. And the bier, Gods, I tried US bier, and that is also not bier, its weak, and rarely tasty, and tipping? Pay your workers a decent salary, I only tip in extraordinary events. And the worse one for me is the pricing of goods, how the heck do you know how to shop? If its market X €, that is what I have to pay, that is one of the principles of any capitalistic society, knowing the price of goods, stop being weird and devious with your pricing.

Tipping is also typically baked into the final price in most European countries, which is why tipping culture is not a thing in most European countries. A trip to Europe doesn't have to be expensive. Choose one country and a few places to visit in that country. Don't run a rat race through all EU countries as people from the US tend to do. For example, fly to Poland, to Krakow. You will see not only a historical place but also the set of the film Schindler's List. You will visit the nearby salt mine in Wieliczka. Then, for example, you will take a 3-hour train to Warsaw. From Warsaw, go to Toruń (the city of the astronomer Copernicus), then visit the world's largest castle in Malbork and then go to Gdańsk. This trip will take you about 2 weeks. A round-trip ticket from Chicago to Krakow costs about $700 per person. In addition, you have 3 to 4 thousand dollars for expenses for two people and you have a vacation. I don't think you'll spend all this money

Czech here. When it comes to tips, it is common to give tips at restaurants, however it is just about being polite, not really something that you're expected to do 100% of the time. It's certainly not that common that you'd get a bill with recommended tip amount and it certainly isn't such a big problem that the staff would ask what happened. The staff would be concerned pretty much only if you'd give no tip repeatedly. Also I'd say that although you can do tips that are 15% or higher of the bill, I've experienced people giving much lower tips, even if the service was okay. I usually give around 10% if I'm satisfied and consider giving higher tip only when I'm very satisfied, in good mood, and of course not low on money.

BUT my problem with the whole tipping thing is I want to give them a little extra on top of their salary for good service I don't want to subsidize their income so they can hardly get by and the owner can penny pinch. That's why I really dislike the tipping based countries or businesses. Especially when we talk about businesses like casinos that make millions yet expect the players to tip when they finaly win so the deealers can have a fair salary. And they even want to make you feel bad about it if you don't do it I think it's disgusting. It's not me cheap it's the owners who are greedy and it's sad it's such a common practice.

it also leads to fake friendliness because they obviously want more tips..which is fine to a certain degreee but not when they depend on it.

The biggest thing by far is the layouts of our nations, every village, town and city is build in a way that does not require a car, even our small towns have shopping streets with 30-40 shops all right next to each other, Americans waste so much space on their roads and car parks. Also the architecture in the USA is the reason most Europeans think of the USA as a third world nation, even compared to many other third world countries American architecture ranks very low, its horrible, very comparable to Russia in the 1970s. All the houses look the same and are made out of crappy low quality wood, nothing is built to last.

WOOOHOOO CAPITALISM
@alistairbolden6340
@alistairbolden6340 2 месяца назад
@@TKSREACT Hmm I don't really agree, the English were capitalist about 700 years before the US even existed and they built the greatest empire our world as ever known off the back of Capitalism. They simply had enough unity and self respect to properly regulate it, before it destroyed their community. I think Americas biggest problem has simply been mass immigration, being made up of vastly different peoples means a total lack of culture, identity or unity, leaving your nation far more divided and open to exploitation and corruption from outside forces. The USA has a lot to learn from China and the empires of the past, it badly need to improve at assimilation if its to last another 50 years.

In every nstion of Europe you receive the final price. The US is very much capable of doing that. But call me a conspiracy theorist but i think that business owners like that they can advertise prices without tax, maxe them kook more appealing.

😂that would be poisonous. 95 g or 95 grams of pure caffeine is deadly. I suppose you mean milligrams, 95 mg per cup sounds reasonable 😊

Your road quality is sooo bad, your driving habits truly outrageous :) it is part of why so many die on american roads (+45000 - that is almost 13 per 100,000 people, compared to 2-3 in Northern Europe). But it is much better to see for yourself, come to Denmark or Germany or the Netherlands if roads or public transport is where you want your eyes opened :D Oh btw, when you get your travel insurance - you are probably covered like we are in our countries - which means WHATEVER happens to you (ambulance, doctor, hospital, surgery etc.) is covered, so you can stop worrying fo a couple of weeks :D
