Great episode and the most unexpected thing ever with Linda, aka turbo tongue 😂 , and Maddie the taxi driver. Linda headbutting the woman in the nightclub at the start lol. Beryl was superb in this episode. Fully agree. This show, and Kathy and James, should have got award after award. Great reaction.

Poor James Dreyfus I’ve seen him recently on RU-vid talking about how he has been basically blacklisted as an actor cause he has been labelled anti LGBTQ, which isn’t true. That’s why we haven’t seen him on screen for a while, and I’ve really enjoyed him in everything I’ve seen him in

Merthyr Tydfil isn't a person. It's a town in Wales roughly 25 miles from Cardiff. A lot of people do make the mistake of thinking it's a person.

Kathy Burke is so amazing, watched this show when it came out and I always put it on when I need an upper. I would tape it and rewatch it with schoolfriends on mondays after school. Kathy also starred a few times in Absolutely Fabulous and also played 'Sporty' in the Sugar Lumps (a ripp off Spice Girls). They are in the 'Who Do You Think You Are' Comic Relief version of the video.

this episode and the next one have to be the best in the series, probably along with the millennium episode! I’m really enjoying these videos that you’re doing, I was a little kid when this show came out but I remember watching it with my family, late at night after my dad got home from work (he’d bring the snacks) and 😂 probably not getting any of the jokes but finding it amazing and colourful - almost like a panto but on TV, just brilliant stuff! Revisiting it through your videos has been really enjoyable so thank you. 😊

Just love seeing these shows again after all these years they really do beat the crap out of some of the stuff they put on nowadays. If you think these have been good so far the rest of them are a real treat........Just a heads up WOLF if these are being played in order I believe the next one involves Tom in a sofa advert ....look out for the guy on the sofa drinking champagne his name is Jonathan Harvey he is the writer of 'Gimme' maybe give him a shout out!....He also appears in a later episode in which I think Linda is daydreaming and he plays a gay make up artist with a lisp who tells her how 'schpeciol' she is.

The third series is good, but it just doesn't quite hold up the same as the first 2, some brilliant slapstick-esque moments but it loses it's disgustingness somewhat in the 3rd series.

Merthyr Tydfil, a Sth Welsh town. Something you may like, Dawn French did a series called Women in Comedy (or something like that). There is an episode where she sits down with Kathy Burke. It may be worth looking at. It may have already been mentioned but the actress playing Beryl was also in one or two of the Carry On films. If you’re looking for some old British cheeky comedy films I’d also recommend the Carry On’s. I also think the actor playing Neville was the dad in the remake of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (Tim Burton’s). You do see the writer in Series 3, he is only in it for a few mins but plays the hairdresser in an episode. I think it’s him anyway. Keep em coming, loving the reactions to this. Must be my all time favourite comedy series 👍🏻

David Schneider played in many parts over the years. He's probably best known for being Tony Hayers from the I'm Alan Partridge first series where he played the Chief Commissioning Editor of BBC Television, who was totally unimpressed with Alan's ideas for TV shows, with Alan being so crest-fallen at being told he wasn't having a second series that he assaulted him with a block of cheese, before running off. The Hayers character was later killed off in the same series when he died from falling off the roof whilst adjusting the TV aerial. He also appeared in the Christmas edition of Knowing Me, Knowing You, where again, he was assaulted by Alan, this time with a rather small turkey.

I love watching your reactions and listening to your laugh! If you haven’t watched him yet, please find the late, Freddie Starr on RU-vid. One of my favourite scenes he did on his shows was ‘ The Speed Up Song ‘. He did several. The song itself is called ‘ Vincent ‘. Freddie was an absolute genius in not only comedy but also his singing ability. He sang with The Jordanaires ( He was a huge fan of Elvis Presley ). I hope you look him up and film your reactions. 😊

Series 3 is really bad, so disappointing! They really dumbed down Linda in that... some storylines were fun (and the ending is really strong) but the way Linda becomes like a shadow of what she was is so sad.

Totally agree with you. Was the same writer all the way through but I have heard him say himself he knows series 3 wasn't as good as the others and is one of the reasons he decided to stop there.
