There is one version where a female officer is singing alone on a hill side and later joined by a drummer and a male officer, it's beautiful and spellbinding. Love your reactions. 👍

I watch the Service of Remembrance every year, and I tear up every time. At the end of the service there is a two-minute silence, and service personnel stand to attention while almost a million poppy petals drop from the roof on to their heads and the floor. It is so moving.

The actor Luke Evans did a wonderful rendition of this song and one of the later Fesitvals, you should listen to that version it will bring you toe tears, it does me!

Listening to men and women prepared to fight and die for their country singing this hymn is - for me - very emotional.

The tune comes Gustav Holst's Jupiter from the plant suites. I know of another song called World in Union that uses the same tune but at a slightly different tempo.
