What makes me laugh is at the beginning of the show Karl was the punching bag but by the end of it it was Steve who used to dread getting the piss ripped out of him.

As another user mentioned, these are from the XFM radio show. As they have no official animation, I've animated some clips from the radio show myself - they're a little basic but give some visual content to go along with it if you're interested!

I had this idea a long time ago ! To animate the radio shows but I know nothing of animation, just knew it would be amazing to have as I think the radio shows are better than the podcasts ! Didn't know someone had done it ! You need way more subs for this man !!

Looking at the description I'll offer a correction: The podcasts were never on XFM. The XFM show was a live broadcast, held to all the same broadcasting rules as any other show on a Saturday afternoon. After they left XFM they started making the podcasts which years later were edited into the cartoon. The cartoon/podcasts have no XFM audio at all.

@hairlylarry Not quite but almost. I've listened to every XFM show and podcast episode a hundred times each over the years myself. There isn't even a second of audio from XFM in the cartoons as unlike the podcasts and audiobooks the copyright to the XFM show isn't held by Ricky and couldn't legally be used, as well as all the recordings being fan-made with no official high quality XFM desk audio surviving. They did retread a few old subjects from the XFM days on the podcasts though, with a few of the segments being almost word for word retellings of a few stories for the new audience though which has thrown a lot of people off so I'm guessing you are referring to those same confusing segments. Thanks for the channel recommendation by the way, you just gave me a whole new catalogue to binge 👍

I don't think Steve is actually upset, he and Ricky regularly joked about his looks during the xfm radio shows. If you've not listened to them they are all available (it's not the podcast), they show more of Karl's real character than the edited podcasts etc, him joking with them and laughing along and so on.

Great reaction man, you need to watch the one with the men in black 2 reference, it's the funniest one of them all 🤣 and another hilarious one is the derek outtakes video, derek is a series that ricky wrote and also stars Karl in season one, his the outtakes are hilarious

I have every episode of the radio show and podcasts on my phone, you can download them easy and they're a great listen ! I've been listening to them for about 13 years... xFm show is between 2001 and 2005 I think and then the podcasts are later. Everything you heard in this video was from the radio shows and not the podcasts. They're about an hour long each and there isn't a bad "episode" among the 100+ shows they did !

All the XFM radio shows and podcasts are on youtube. The XFM shows in particular are hilarious, it's where most of these insults came from, except for the introduction.

I love these 3 . They're such a perfect combination. Steve bringing the posh charm and wit, Ricky is rough and outrageous, and KP has this kind of cute naive common sense approach and bluntness about him. And they're all connected by a big heart :)

It's hard to roast ricky bcz he'll roast himself and be funnier, like steve martin in "Roxanne". Karl gets angry and fed up, while steve is easily wounded and emotionally fragile, so steve usually comes out of these exchanges feeling butt hurt.

Ricky lights the blue touch paper and retires. To my shame I have done similar once or twice, throwing out a comment that I have no definite opinion of and letting others fight over it. But Ricky does it brilliantly. Oh and Effing and Jeffing is something that used to be said when I was young. Haven't heard it in ages.

Thing is Karl is just so dry and matter of fact and says what he thinks, and THAT is the best humour. Saying what you think and facts is funny. It's kind of sad that it's like that because people think facts are outrageous but it's got to the point where facts are funny because truth is now funny. I mean I know what I'm trying to say haha.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of Steve his insults go beyond, the one about Suzanne going through the bins?! Fucking unnecessary. Steve, and this is a fact...he thinks now he's earning big money he deserves a 10/10 bird, he's not going to find it EVER. Not just because of his shitty personality and thinking he's entitled to a model gf because he's loaded. Any decent bird won't stay around indefinitely for his personality it will be for his money only because his attitude is more ugly than his looks and I didn't think his persona could out-ugly his looks but it does and they probably add to his lack of good looks.
