Wow 40 years on and Freddie still rocks. What a legacy to leave behind that generations who knew you and generations who didn't can all appreciate your music.
when i was in London (Earl's Court) a few months ago, one of the places i went to was Freddie's house (Garden Lodge) were he used to live, and were he died...Being a Queen fan since i was young, it was a wonderful experience just to be there.
Love this retro dance club song. The video has really sweet visual moments with John watching Freddie. Story I read was that John wrote this following a rift with Brian...and Freddie, ever the peacemaker, wrote "Soul Brother" for Brian. This fit their black/funk category. You would also like "Action this Day" if this is your groove!
Went to school in 80s early 90s grew up listening to queen,Freddie was the best frontman so energetic and flamboyant, remember Freddie passing I was still in senior school, got to see queen live in Birmingham when Paul Rogers was singer lead and John deacon was no longer in the group ,remember seeing live aid as a kid on tv and Queen blew all the other artists away
HEY Dude! This Milton Keynes “Fire At The Bowl” is my ALL TIME FAV concert, EVER.🥰 SUGGESTIONS: Two other FANTASTIC songs from this show (they’re rare songs that Queen only performed live during this 1982 tour) are: “ACTION THIS DAY” And “STAYING POWER” And one more… This concert also has the BEST version of: “FAT BOTTOMED GIRLS”
@ Lynn - I was there too! Who knows maybe we were standing next to one another. Do you remember the Queen helicopter flying in and everybody cheering and ignoring Teardrop Explodes? Difficult to believe that this was an awkward period for Queen and even Freddie said at that concert that the band were trying something a bit different with a little funk music. @Kid - one thing I know Freddie didn't say throughout the entire performance was......."Snacks not included!"
Graham, yes I remember the helicopter, must admit me and my hubby were not particularly interested in Teardrop Explodes. We were lucky enough to see Queen three times, they were the best.
@@Lynn-qv2xj You beat me then (twice - second time of all places in Marbella in 1986). Fact is though that we were both blessed to witness these performances with our own eyes. So many reactors here on RU-vid (that includes you Kid) and especially the comments that so many make and you soon realise how lucky we were to witness one of, if not the greatest live performer that ever lived. The bikers were there head-banging away, young people, old people, disco divas - it didn't matter - Freddie was loved by all - and Brian, John and Roger weren't too bad either!
good performance, if i danced half the amount freddy did here, i would be rushed to hospital within minutes with concussions and a couple of black eyes 😂😂😂😂
